Yeah, the trouble with NTSC discs is not only is the resolution lower 480 lines instead of 576 for PAL, as they use the Pulldown method you do get slightly jerky motion more noticeable when panning, as they are repeating certain frames, so they can change 24 FPS to 29.97 FPS, though you do then get the film played at the correct speed and therefore the correct running time, whereas for PAL discs it's a straight transfer frame by frame, but as film is 24 FPS and video 25 FPS we get a slight increase in speed, and therefore the film is over quicker.

I've bought from the used section of amazon and it was the worst time I've had buying off the internet. My item had to be replaced after being lost twice, its had rubbish packaging and was generally below amazons delivery standarRAB.

I'd say Play as well. The prices are usually cheaper, and there's no tax (they say it's free delivery, but you do pay for it, that's why they arrive individually).

Most of the time, if you pre order something, it gets sent to you on the Saturday before release date (for example I got Maid Marian and Her Merry Men yesterday, it comes out tomorrow).

Unless you need the movie in a mad hurry, Play is cheaper and has much better customer service tha Amazon.

I've been using Play for over 4 years now and have never had a problem. I did have one item go missing in the post but got a replacement sent out straight away, no questions asked.

If you're looking for Region 1 DVD's it's worth bearing in mind that playusa.com sell the Canadian R1 discs.

I've found DVDWorldUSA.com to be best for R1 discs. They only sell the American versions and you can pay a little bit extra to get the titles ahead of release (King Kong & Narnia are both in stock now and Harry Potter was available a couple of weeks ago).

Slightly pricier than Playusa though (but I think it's worth it to avoid dual language covers).

Play is the dogs balls! My DVD collection would be considerably smaller without its fantastic service. Play's lay-out is also more user-friendly - especially for the bargains! It always pays to check a few websites though. Other than Play I use Amazon and Sendit.com

I also bought a 2GB Play.com MP3 Player recently and it's a class little number.
