amazon.co.uk v's play.com

I just go through find DVD, and pick the cheapest. So I've ordered from loaRAB of different retailers no problem. As I said above on this thread I have no loyalty.

both are equally good in my experience, but I think play.com wins it for me. If i want a DVD guaranteed, a day before release, I buy it from gameplay.co.uk

yep - find-dvd.co.uk or billybargain.co.uk (they are partner sites - but slightly different).

If you don't want to buy a dvd straight away then register with the find-dvd pricewatch facility (http://www.find-dvd.co.uk/dvdPriceWatch.aspx) - I check most mornings and it tells me if one of my chosen DVRAB has dropped in price.

If you are about to order a DVD then get the billybargain firefox add-on (http://www.billybargain.co.uk/firefox/. It lets you right-click on any dvd title from Any Website and it will compare prices for you automatically.

Chances are Amazon or Play are the cheapest but I would always check first - Loyalty doesn't always pay.

I'd never used either until after Christmas when I found several bargains in the Play.com sale and just couldn't resist buying them. I ordered two DVD's and a CD and after 3 days had recieved my DVD's no problem. However, 5 days passed and I still hadn't recieved my CD which had been sent at the same time. I emailed Play and they told me they cannot trace any missing items until 14 days after the post date. It was a long 14 days and I still hadn't recieved my CD so I reported the item as missing and within 4 hours of me getting in touch with them a replacement had been posted, no questions asked! I would definately use play.com again as I've never come across better customer service anywhere!

I often find Play and Amazon now several from the top, so it all depenRAB on the title you are after, this is why you must check prices from all sites and not just the two you have had cheapest before.

I've just done a quick search for a DVD, Play.com was 10th, Amazon 14th.

Recently Bensonsworld, Blah, Sendit and TheHut.com have been coming up as the cheapest, but as I said it all depenRAB on the film you are after.

If you order something that hasnt been released yet, Play sem to deliver it on the day it's released or surprisingly a day or two earlier. Amazon seem to deliver it after its released, so I'd go with Play.

Having said that, sometimes i find stuff in Woolworths thats cheaper than Play and Amazon, so it pays to look around first before buying.

Paddy :D

Play's been perfect for me. One one occasion they sent me two copies of the same DVD, charging me twice, but they said their system was at fault and rectfied it immediately. Quality's always been good, too.

I'm happy to stick with them even if I miss out on the occasional bargain elsewhere.

hmv online were selling it for 13.99 on pre release, though it is on for 14.99 now on the web site (and you dont have to spend any more to get it for that price and p and p is included for 14.99) amazon is selling it for 14.99 too, but as it is under 15 you need to pay p and p or add another item

Duel language covers are fun sometimes, plus sometimes its funny to hear it dubbed in french. only problem with ntsc picture its like having a slight stroke with the slight strobe on the picture.
