Alice in wonderland- TIM BURTON. MARCH 5TH.

I agree I was so irritated by the white queen that I almost wanted the red queen to win lol

I was a bit disappointed overall tbh although the mad hatter & cheshire cat made it worth watching :)

Ok, I have just got back fron seeing it. Not what I expected at all. I didnt know it was a sequel I thought it was just a re-make of the original. I mean I know I could have read up on it, but it was called Alice in Wonderland. I think that is miss-leading. After sitting there for about 30 mins thinking that they had changed the story realised it was a sequel. If I view it as a diferent story I would say it was ok, nothing special or memorable. It did have good animations though. I did not like some of the characterisations, i.e the chesire cat and the caterpiller. Not in keeping with the original at all!! Plus The mad hatter and Tweedle dee and Tweedle dum were better but still quite weak. The only one I thought was ok was the Queen of Hearts (Red queen). Also another thing, the red queen's boyfriend (Cant remember his name in the original) was good not bad.

I have to agree with what you said. I was a bit disapointed with the story and the characterisations but the graphics were stunning. I think that was it's saving grace for me.

It is amazing. Just watched it twice! (and saw it in the cinema).

I want to go to the london film premiere, is it free? I've never ever been to one before. :o

Whats everyones opinion on the piracy thing now that the waiting time between cinema and Bluray/Dvd release has come down, personally I think its a good thing for the customer if you see a film that you really enjoy then you might not be tempted to pick up that dodgy copy down the pub but be prepared to wait and pick up a nice shiny new one before you've forgot how good the film was.Another thing is how much money doe's a film actually make from week 13 to 17? I am guessing not much if disney are prepared to cut the running time.

They have every right to be annoyed - however holding the public to ransom is dispicable. Odeon will not be getting another penny from me, I'll be going to Vue from now on.

I will deffinatly be buying it on DVD, 2 disc, 3 disc, 4 disc edition whatever, i'm getting it.

I seriously cannot wait to see it again, i really loved it. Nothing to serious, that's why i never yawn when people say 'hardly a story/plot line'.

I really want to see the animated disney classic of 'alice in wonderland' too, the dvd is like

Saw this yesterday - was enjoyable but not as good as I `d expected. Spent the whole film trying to remember what `Alice` had been in before - googled at home and was In treatment ! Also J.Depp`scottish accent - I know he was supposed to be slightly mad - but just seemed a bit odd.
The dance was a bit out of place - his and Alice`s !
Really liked the Cheshire cat - i want one !:)

Yes, it is to co-incide with the Tim Burton movie :)
I think if a Blu Ray of the 1951 film ever comes, maybe it will be in 2011 (to coincide with the Disney animation's 60th anniversary). But I may be wrong.

Maybe they will bring out the animation on R2 again too.

Oh darn the doomed region 1! I take it that it's only going to be released in the US?

I really want this movie on DVD, should have snapped it up a year ago when i had the chance..

to just stand in leicester square in the crowd? yeah thats free. it'll be mad crazy though and you'd have to camp out overnight probably to get anywhere near the front.

to go inside and see it, you'd need to be invited.

there might be a few competitions on to win tickets, keep your eyes open :)

Mixed feelings.

Liked some, hated other parts.

Helena stole the show as the Red Queen. All her scenes were brilliant.

Johnny Depp was...meh. I didn't get the Scottish accent.

The girl who played Alice was very good IMO. Strange casting but very interesting to look at.

Loved Chesire Cat. :)

Anne Hathaway was diabolical. Just a shambles.
