One of my top albums by a female artist. Aretha's voice is fantastic on this recording, not just the obvious powerful parts, but in the subtle lower moments as well. It's a wonderfully relaxed soul album with plenty of emotion.

yeah...it definitely comes in spurts for me. long perioRAB of no sex followed by tons of it. sadly, i'm in the no sex period atm. oh, well.

i've been entering an acoustic guitar folkish phase after rediscovering elliot smith's either/or. i was thinking of what to start with and the first thing that popped in my head was iron and wine. i always meant to get into them, but they are one of those sad occurrences where it just didn't happen. after hearing them sporadically and even seeing them live, i finally decided to actually get down to a full album. very pleased. cinder and smoke is just amazing.

Bob Dylan - Time Out Of Mind

My favourite Dylan album by some distance this. My mind changes a lot about that, but then I always come back to putting this one on the pedestal again. Such a gloomy, eerie kinda vibe to this one, and another one of my favourite night-listening albums.

False Hopes was an incredible EP so I've been waiting for this for a while. For some reason 'Alibi' wouldn't extract, so this isn't a complete copy. But I knew I would love it and I do. Child's Play is an incredible opener. Doomtree is really pouring out stellar releases at the moment.

Queen - The Miracle. One of the best albums from Queen. Released in 1989. Plenty rock songs. "I want it all" and "The miracle" are the best.
