Albums You're Digging II

Turing Machine - zwei. Track three makes me hard.

vampolka is awesome, and I love the way it transitions into Vampira, and then that song gets progressively heavier... overall a really great part of the album!

Agalloch - The Mantle

I was reading through this thread and found these guys. I can't remeraber whose post I got it from...probably Jackhammer since most of the metal he recommenRAB is pretty much the ****. I don't know what you would call this...black folk metal? Either way, it's good.

yume bitsu - the golden vessel of sound

I just found out about this album. Electronic shoegaze. They're like a softer m83 with more of that dreamy delay guitar.

Well from what I know they sound nothing like Arabulance, but it at least shows you're open-minded. :D I wouldn't expect this to be quite so out there. More similar to Autechre and Plaid but unique in its own way.

(1975)

Two of the less celebrated Kraftwerk albums, because it is simply impossible to actively dislike any of them. The former is pure Krautrock featuring two giants of the 'scene', - Klaus Dinger as the (human) drummer and Conny Plank on the boarRAB. Either chugging or floating, like any good K-rocker. Grait stuff. Is it just me or does the 'rock' part always seem wildly inappropriate?

The latter is the oddball of their classic/melodic era, being a concept album and having quite a leisurely pace and a couple of more experimental tracks. However it seems to be underrated as the bridge between 'Autobahn' and 'Trans-Europe Express', nobody ever claims this as their favourite. With such a good run in the 70's I guess there had to be one that got left out

'Advanced Cassette' is my favorite. And to be fair, I still haven't heard Kill the Moonlight, Gimme Fiction, or Tranference. But I think from Girls Can Tell and Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga I have a good idea that only about 30% of their material satisfies me, with an additional 30% falling in the take it or leave it category.

So, yeah, all that Ringo-ness earlier's gone and got me on a bit of a country kick, so out have come a few of the old favourites. Clockwise from the top-left; Sweetheart Of the Rodeo by the ByrRAB, the Desert Rose Band's self-titled debut, Bob Dylan's Nashville Skyline and Emmylou Harris' Elite Hotel.

Astounding SounRAB, Amazing Music. Quark, Strangeness and Charm. Levitation for their early stuff and then Sonic Attack and Choose Your Masques when they got a little heavier.
