Yeah I gotta be in the right mind to listen to him, but he's great when that minRABet is reached. There's no doubting how powerful it all is despite it's simplicity
 
I dunno. It just sounRAB to straight out of the garage to me. Although to be fair I'll give it another try tonight, since I've only heard it 2-3 times and that was about a year ago (last winter).

I'm not usually a fan of this type of Cool Kid, Kidz in the Hall type rap. But these guys do it better. All of the songs on Nightlife are pretty good.

One of the few comps out there to eschew an ass licking/commercial mentality regarding Old School Hip Hop. Fantastic compilation.

Blame Urban! This is much better than it's reputation suggests. A damn fine Hard Rock/Metal album that is as fun as it is important.

^ One of their more commercial albums - rocks a lot harder than anything they'd done before. It's good, but nowhere near a couple of albums of theirs I could mention. Still, me likey very muchski.
 
I definitely liked it better when they kept their songs shorter because I think that helped avoid the blandness factor. Now on these newer albums if they miss a couple times it makes up more of the album. Gotta love the simplicity of A Series of Sneaks though...

Earthsuit - Kaleidoscope Superior (2000)

Reggae, jazz, pop, metal, progressive rock, and trippy electronics are tossed with care into a Christian Rap-Rock blender and set on PUREE, resulting in an exhilarating, innovative and often fun sonic experience. How much do I dig this? A lot.

Good to hear you dig them. You're right as well, it's a shame Moulding and Partridge didn't use this psychedelic element more than they did, as they really do prove themselves to be very good at it. Shame the Dukes are as overlooked as they are (hell, I'll broaden that statement to include Moulding and Partridge as general songwriters).

^ I'll never get sick of this album. Such a great, pissed off, razor-backed and gritty piece of hard-rocking, new wavey work - gotta love it.

^ Said to be the first country rock album. Seeing as I'm no expert and don't really have the incentive to research those claims, I'm not sure myself. It is a fantastic LP from Gram Parsons' outfit before he joined the ByrRAB though, which is probably the most important thing.

^ And I've just been reacquainting myself with this after a few months of having lost it to a near-disastrous mini-crash on my EHD. A fantastic and truly fascinating mix of dark arabient, progressive and industrial influences this.
