I even like Be Here Now over Morning Glory. Be Here Now isn't as bad as everyone made it out to be. People were very disappointed with it not being Morning Glory II, but I was glad and really like it for what it is. Nothing awesome but some good stuff one there.
Every summer my bf goes through this phase where he gives SY a listen and tries to convince himself that he likes some of their stuff but it never works. This summer he's actually getting into this album. I don't know what it is about this band, to me they're pretty boring, maybe that's why it takes some effort to sit through any of their albums.
I'm not supposed to like this, but I have to say, I ****in' love the new Linkin Park album. Shoot me accordingly, but I find absolutely nothing bad on it, and it lives up to even the better stuff in my collection... color me impressed.
Ask him to play Coal Train Robberies for me when you're there eh
I was at V2002 when he was doing a set, but I wasn't a fan at the time so I didn't bother. Shame really. He was touring When I Was Cruel too, so it would've been an awesome little show.
Frolic Through The Park is not that great and quite a lot different from the debut but Act III redresses the balance somewhat although it is no match for the visceral sound of the debut (recorded in a couple of days btw).
They were meant to be on the European leg of the infamous Clash Of The Titans tour which may have pushed the band into a bigger stratosphere but the band were involved in a very serious car accident and had to pull out at the last minute.
I've listened to this album three times today and it just keeps on getting better and better. Gab is truly one of those MC's that excels in every aspect and just continues to build up from every album. The beats are a lot more polished and funky than his first solo album and while it's obvious Chief Xcel had nothing to do with it, I'm sure he'd be happy with the production. Now they just need to put out a new Blackalicious album dammit!
Now moved a little later down the Blur timeline to listen to Think Tank, they're very excellent last studio album... very, very good album... lots of different sounRAB and mooRAB coming through the headphones... I liked this alot when I first got it..... but now with a bit of age behind me, I am recognising this as the truly wonderful album it is!
