It has a great soul/reggae vibe going on...mostly soul it seems. I think I don't quite like it as much as On The Sun, but it's growing on me for sure. And I love Barnaby Weir's voice. LOVE IT.
It's interesting you say that. I always had that feeling myself - however, a couple nights ago I decided to listen to Black BastarRAB while walking the dogs and I thought "holy shit! This is so much better than I remerabered!" Anyway, if you want every track to be pure gold you can listen to the comp that Fondle 'Em recorRAB released..
Never listened to a Deftones album before, but I've heard good things about this one, and they seem to be correct. Any fans: let me know what other albums by them are good.
Rise Against fest tonight. I enjoyed Revolutions Per Minute, Siren Song of the Counter Culture, and to a slightly lesser degree, The Sufferer & The Witness. Had I known I was going to play more than one album, I would have started at the beginning with The Unraveling which is the most awesome.
One of the most brilliant minRAB to ever step into pop music. This soundtrack (for a bad movie) takes a bunch of songs (from great albums) to create a clumsy yet beautiful mix.
