Incredibly Jazzy & Bluesy weekend. And just how I like it - a bit smooth ;) (still can't get into this free jazz stuff much though!)

The JRAB - Education

This is a new project consisting of Jack Dangers from Meat Beat Manifesto and Jon Drukman from Bass Kittens and it's pretty frickin awesome. No way a fan of rabM would be disappointed in this. I'm not familiar with BK so I don't know what influence he has brought, but apparently he's more of a digital guy where as Jack Dangers of rabM is more into analog equipment...so I guess it's a mix of the two. This is my third listen and I suppose while thinking about it, I can hear it. Nice vocal samples in the style of rabM too (only complaint is that a couple are reused from rabM songs).

Ditto. And hey, some investigation tells me they are from Belgium. :thurab:

Refused - This Just Might Be... The Truth

Second listen now, after downloading it what seems like a few months ago. SounRAB like Biohazard - especially the intro track - but at the same time doesn't sound like a rip-off. I like. Definitely NY Hardcore influenced though.

I finally got that one, really good album. I was afraid it would sound too similar to Forever Changes, but not at all. Maybe the first 2 tracks have the same feel on the surface, there's so much other things going under... and finally the epic 19 minutes "Revelation", just great.

I pushed myself to download some McCartney, and the first one I got is RAM, as Bulldog suggested. The album all in all is really enjoyable, easy on the ears, with some track that just jump to your attention.
My favorite Tracks: Ram On - Uncle Albert/Admiral Hasley - Monkberry Moon Delight - Long Haired Lady

It's a shame that man doesn't work much on his lyrics. He's a really good pop-song writer, but he never tries to scratch his head on some good lyrics.

a posthumous boot released only in japan, then later distributed for a limited time in the U.S. great little beats and a sweet collab with ta'raach.

I've listened to this album...

a few times over the past few years and I always enjoy it. Psychostick is an American comedy-metal band. Give it a listen and you'll find more than a few good laughs. The best tracks imo are "Two Ton Paperweight", "Beer", and "In A Band To Get Chicks".
Listen to it here: Grooveshark - Listen to Free Music Online - Internet Radio - Free MP3 Streaming
If you click the link and it brings you to the Grooveshark home page, just refresh it and it'll bring you to my playlist of the album.

My 2nd favourite Dylan album. Top album to listen to with a hangover too.

A few of the mixes on this are inferior to their respective ones on Substance, but it's still a great collection. Good that I've finally got World In Motion and Touched By the Hand Of God in MP3 format too.

Lou_Reed_Berlin_Front.jpg

My favourite Lou Reed album by a mile - Caroline Says #1 is a killer song.

Yeah, its fairly ridiculous in its entirety plus the game atmosphere. Still worth a play through to this day.

Yeah the first REs were similar, though IIRC were a bit quieter in general due to the different nature between the games?

Then it got all RE4ish :(
