Quite like it. Ever since I went to Hungary I've been wanting to discover more about the local music scene. Closest thing I got.

The Future Sound Of London - Lifeforms

Dug out this old, dark chillout beauty for the first time in ages. To put it mildly, I fucking love this album. So very very long (it's a double album), but the production is so brilliant that it all sounRAB like one huge piece of music. Sheer genius in other worRAB.

I recently got that album The '59 Sound by Gaslight Anthem and I have to say I was very surprised at how well it was done. Their debut album was amazing as well.

Haha, hell yeah. Sooo many incredible mashups on that. I could sit here forever and list all the ones I like...probably my favorites though are All Eyez On Me vs Bittersweet Symphony, and this one:

I Heard It Through the Grapevine (Marvin ***e) vs Feel Good Inc. (Gorillaz)

Apologies for the small picture. This pop/electro/hip-hop crossover is really beginning to grab my attention

The soundtrack from the DVD. Great live performance.

I realize that the sticker may be a commonly used one, but so far I've only see that prize sticker come from one record store here in Toronto, and that is Sonic Boom.

Do you happen to live in Toronto?

Oooh I'm liking this thread. I've just spent about an hour reading all the posts!

I'm loving:

Black Sheep Boy Appendix - Okkervil River.

It has to be my favourite album. I love the dark lyrics, the passion, the music...just incredible rip your heart out music! Favourite tracks - Another Radio Song, Black Sheep Boy, Last Love Song for Now.

Land - Patti Smith

I've only downloaded the first disc of this album so far and I'm totally hooked. Patti is such a passionate singer, I love her!
Favourite songs at the minute - When Doves Cry, Frederick and Paths that Cross

Nuclear Daydream - Joseph Arthur

I can't believe that so few people have taken to Joseph. He has an incredibly beautiful voice and his songs are rather perfect. I guess his occasional reference to being 'saved' may put some off. I love this particualr album, its less anguished than some of his previous and just feels very chilled.

Favourite songs...Slide Away and You are Free.

BTW its lovely to know so many people love Elliott.

This is very surprising to me. I really dug their more complex, experimental take on the standard indie rock/pop (even pop punk) sound. I couldn't find anything to dislike about it.

I have not yet listened to Daughters (though I downloaded their latest), but from what I've heard about them they sound like they're quite a bit different from Fang Island.

I'll have to give that album a listen.
