As always, Octopus Project is good if you like BMSR. Want any more Black Moth Super Rainbow? I have Falling Through A Field, Lost Picking Flowers, and Start a People if you're interested. They're all older albums.
most people i know don't care enough to appreciate that either. and i think that kind of influence(electronics) was inevitable, not a true mark of musical genius. but they certainly weren't bad or even average.
I've been rediscovering Windir since my flatmates bought me Sennheisers a couple of weeks ago - headphones make the whole Windir experience better (if that's even possible). I feel bad that a lot of music fans will never discover the beauty of Arntor because they avoid black metal altogether. I think it's maybe time that we did some serious promotion on rab.
So here's a Windir song for everybody, even if youtube quality really doesn't do their sound justice (be sure to listen to the HQ version). I'm happy to up Arntor or any of their other albums for anyone who wants them.

What a fantastic riff! And doesn't that section from 5:40 to 7:40 just tug at your heartstrings?
I like it better than their last release, and thank god it doesn't include that awful 'Canada' single. They have finally erabraced their slowed sound and gone to a more riff oriented song structure, and the bass is much more prominent--I like.
Some random EPs I've just now added to my collection:
Tokyo Police Club - A Lesson in Crime (2006)
Noisy and plenty of bass as well. 'Nature of the Experiment' is a great song. Yes, I know they sound like The Strokes ripoRAB, and I don't care because I enjoy the music.
One Day as a Lion - One Day as a Lion (2008)
I don't know much about true rap-rock fusion, but this seems to be it and it's really good. Why can't there be more good rap-rock like this?
Now that I have a decent mp3 player I can delve more into my back catalogue as well as hearing new music fully.
65DAYSOFSTATIC-One Time For All Time
A fine, fine Post-Rock album. Has booboo heard this? There is a definite whiff of Prog Rock in there. of course this makes it even better!
Agalloch-The Mantle.
How good is this album? An unbelieveably multi layered, well written piece of Arabient Metal. It get's better with every listen.
Lou Rhodes-Beloved One.
The vocalist from one of my favourite banRAB Larab produces her debut album since Larab folded. Her distinctive vocals float all over sparse acoustic guitar with subtle strings and percussion. Beautiful.
Elliott Smith-Figure 8.
His vocals are finally starting to grow on me. There are some fantastic pop tunes on here. Others may classify him differently but he adheres close to classic pop structure.
Did anyone hear the new album Broken Bells? I've listened to it about 4 times already and it's pretty uber. It's the guy from the Shins and Dangermouse. It's basically the Shins but more upbeat.. I would totally suggest you give it a listen.
