Shpongle- Ineffable Mysteries from Shpongleland.
Oh god where do I start with this thing?
It's like a middle eastern street musician discovered electronic music and psychedelics. Good stuff. The only other Shpongle I've heard is 'Tales of the Inexpressible', but this beats it by a mile.
You should give it another go.... it's alot darker than previous Fantomas releases, and to me it sounRAB like it's spelling out a story with sound... like someone is dying on an operating table... well, that's the imagery I get from it all... I may be very wrong, as it really has no lyrics...
Yes, yes and yes again. I'd actually even go so far as to say it's one of the best Killing Joke albums and one of my favorite albums of the past decade.
'She's Not There' is great. I have it already as part of a Greatest Hits compilation. I need to do a track comparison to see what else on Begin Here I may already have, but either way I prefer hearing albums as they were intended so I'll get it eventually.
A sort of Electronic Shoegaze. Very chilled and atmospheric. Impressed.
Wayne Smith & Prince Jammy:
Two albums in one package. They call this 'digi-dub' which means that it is groovy as fuck electronic Reggae. Just like this:

Colin Newman- A-Z:
This was supposed to be Wire's fourth album but it ended up as a newman solo album. It's nothing short of excellent Post Punk verging on Pop sensibilities.
To each his own. At least I still find them both at least great. And I will admit that COTE has the best individual song, "The Manifold Curiosity". I'll have to see how Coyote stacks up after even more time. I did get it when it first came out, but I could still falter on it some day.
Also, if that's an "8105" lyric in your signature, you're my hero!
For me, I had to get over wanting them to be like they were on their previous recorRAB and just appreciate the poppier more accessible sound. I've given it a lot of time though and I still don't know that it's one of my favorites of the year... but it's a solid album regardless. And of course, a couple of the songs rival anything in their catalog.
