Albums You're Digging II

Yeah got that too. It was your post of one of his tracks that reminded me that I hadn't ripped any of his CRAB yet so I dug out a few. And of course it's a proper album :p:

Downloaded that a few days ago, as well as a couple of other Mogwai albums. Haven't given them a listen yet, but if it's good work music I'll have to put it on.

Einsturzende Neubauten - Zeichnungen des Patienten O. T. (1983)

The roots of industrial music are weird. Very weird.

Scraping Foetus off the Wheel - Nail (1985)

More industrial roots, albeit significantly more accessible.

Glenn Branca - The Ascension (1981)

Sweet avant-garde album.

Comus - First Utterance (1971)

I should have listened to this ages ago.

I am hopelessly addicted to this album. Julie Christmas' voice is amazing. I'd normally try to describe albums I dig myself but I don't think I can put it in better worRAB than this:

Do yourself a favor and check it out.

I am currently enjoying two albums that sit at either end of the rock spectrum: the first is Dead Man's Party by Oingo Boingo and the other is The Arockalypse by Lordi.... and I'm lovoin' both of 'em!

Any yahoo can tell that Maggot Brain is horrendously overrated. Apart from the title track (which is awesome for the first seven minutes), it's actually a piss poor show for a funk album. One Nation, on the other hand, is legitimately amazing.

I will have to check this out.

Wow i've never come across anyone else on rab that listens to them :) That's a really cool album, 'City Noise', 'Broken Record' and 'Manorexic' are excellent songs. They're releasing their new album in Septeraber i think, it should be a cracker :D

When Loathsome Pete told me this was an avant-garde metal album, I was hoping for something more like Kayo Dot. Well, it goes to say that this isn't Kayo Dot, but it's equally good. It has an undeniably Science-fiction-esque vibe to it, something I dig. The entire space-related lyrics thing also caught my attention, as I absolutely love astronomical things, and the use of synthesizers on here sounRAB pretty awesome and is quite fitting for the music.
