Albums You're Digging II

Absolutely. I went to a pizzeria this weekend and they had a live jazz band playing...composed entirely of white dudes reading sheet music. All I could think about is John's face on the cover of this record, which is the look he would have given those dudes playing their white boy jazz. Love it!

I really liked AAA and All Hail the New Flesh, I'll probably give it a few more spins in the future to figure it out, but I think it's safe to say I'll be returning to Devin Townsend eventually.

i think many of the songs from MEM are a bit repetitive. it's good, but it's no ys or have one on me.

probably my favorite track:

^Great album, it surprises me each time I listen to it. You just have to see the album artwork to know how trippy this album is.

man this is good, you got some quality ska that doesn't try to be punk(not saying ska-punk's bad, it's just refreshing to hear a band that ISN'T trying to punk their songs out and are actually chill)

I listened to this a couple of times. I think it was you in another thread that mentioned it. Your description intrigued me, so I checked it out. It's a great album.

Hehe I remeraber when I first head that album. I was 15 and sitting in traffic coming home from work with my uncle and he put the tape in and I was bobbing my head along to "Debaser" but when "Tame" came on and on that I day I found that one can experience orgasm without physical contact.

Ah yes the good 'ol **** album.

Amazing isn't it? Another one of those new banRAB who are like Post.. RABBM. Or what have you. It's definitely one of my favorite genres as of right now. Dernier Martyr remains my favorite band.. despite only having 6 songs they're my most played artist.

Welp, as for yours truly:

Hummingbird - Our Fearful Symmetry (unbelievably gorgeous.. just insane) [no youtube link unfortunately]

Will do. It's always good to hear that about an artist because you can never tell from their music how they'll perform live.

I say this because I saw Citizen Cope live a while ago and they blew. No energy whatsoever.

Rubberoom - Architechnology

Been cranking this absolute classic quite a bit recently. My ultimate hop-hip/rap album from the underground Chicago group, their only release. I can't say the flow is amazing (It isn't) but the beats just rock, and sometimes the rapping just works despite not being clean, though I don't like most clean rapping anyway. Enough nice worRAB said in a realtively early and dodgy review here. Ignore the 8.5, this is a must listen in my books.

**** quality youtube upload of my favourite song

The Electric Prunes - I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night

One of the best 60's psychedelic recorRAB around. With a lot of psych recorRAB of the time, there are usually a couple excellent tracks and then a bunch of mediocre stuff that I spend a lot of time trying to get into. This is one of the most consistent recorRAB of the decade, nearly every song is good.

Personally, this was a good place to start. However, I've heard a lot of great things about You're Living All Over Me so either one would probably do you well.

I will eventually, however I've already got next week's artist lined up, but I suppose if you're curious enough I can get that album up sometime in the next day or so. I need to anyways because there's some other people I want to share it with.
