Albums You're Digging II

Listening to Doubt SeeRAB by Bluebottle Kiss, still love this album to death after two years...it takes in such a broad range of styles and mostly dark subject matter, sounRAB amazing both musically and lyrically... one of Australia's great unheard of gems, amazing band.

I always forget about this album for some reason. Seems like ages since I heard it.
I still can't decide if this, Malesch or Tago Mago is my favourite Krautrock album.

Bit like garage folk punk, but with very little folk.
Whatever the fuck it is, I like it.
Trivia : Nightingales played more sessions for John Peel than any other band except The Fall.

Best Peel Sessions album ever recorded.
Certainly my most played anyway.

i made almost this exact same post a few months ago :)

absolutely awesome album.

might want to check out Deadly Avenger, Sunday Munich, Mr Cooper

also there is a compilation called Broken Nightlights with Opgave, Saltillo and others that is very good.

A couple of days I downloaded it, and now I'm officially digging it. This album already has a pretty big lead for my favorite of 2010.

I just can't stop listening to it.

I've been really into the Raincoats recently and i'm thinking i like this a bit more than the debut. 1 part the violin raping post punk they're good for, 1 part really quirky and likeable pop. Pretty and Don't Be Mean are catchy little oddities that are incredibly endearing, the highlight is easily Love a Loser though, i've had it in my head the last 3 days.

Electric Wire Hustle - S/T

My flatmate considers this his fav album of 09. After giving it a few listens I'd say that's a bit of a stretch, but it is a nice mix of hip hop, soul and various other influences. Here's a song from it... gotta love the shout out to all the musicians who were instrumental in the creation of the album.

And I've been enjoying the classic funk of the Meters too.

Classic French House/Disco that I have been catching up with.

THE PAX CECILIA-BLESSED ARE THE BONRAB

I have already posted about these in another thread but I still have to big 'em up. One of the best rock (for want of a better term) albums I have heard for a few months.

GENIUS/GZA-LIQUID SWORRAB

An album that has been rotating amongst the heirachy here at rab towers. This Rap/Hip-Hop album deserves all the praise it can get. Stunning.

CHRIS GOSS-GIVE US BARABBAS

Founder meraber of the hugely underated Masters Of Reality and QOTSA producer Chris Goss's essentially solo album. You want dirty blues riRAB spun in a metal washing machine washed down with with soulful mouthwash? Listen to this.

So it's supposedly National Duran Duran Appreciation Day today. Purely coincidentally, I happened to throw this album on iPod last night for listening today.
