Albums You're Digging II

beats are kill, flow is decent too.

Spot on :thurab:

The only reason I ever really listen to the guy's debut these days is to get a load of Come On Buy My Boys - superb little nuraber that. I'm not a huge fan of Space Oddity either. The 70s is where it's at when it comes to Bowie.

That last bit was directed at that Urban guy. I've already been told by one mod, believe it or not I don't need two people to whine at me about something so ridiculously petty. What you've said is alright, and I'll add a description which I said is fair enough.

You know I did hear about that, I had to Wiki them to see where they were from when I first heard them, I knew that the singer had an accent. Do you know if it's possible to hear the first things they've recorded? Or the hardcore stuff, anyways?

Well maybe not just the shoegazy stuff from France, but I have noticed a big increase in higher rated Black Metal albums on Rate Your Music. It's kind of more going to be about seeing such a secular genre slowly becoming more widely known around the world, and what that may mean for the original intent of the music.

Nice one! I dunno about it being better than the debut though. The title track is a masterpiece though. Their '82 album True Democracy is far and away my favourite (I only didn't mention it in that reggae thread as it's more of a roots/dancehall crossover album).

Anyway, these have been getting a lot of airtime round my way;

^ A much brighter version of Berlin, with much more of a melodic leaning than the former. It's good, but not Berlin-good unfortuntely.

^ I've barely listened to this in years. Shame really - it is classic, early electronica after all.

^ Still kicks as much arse as when I first heard it.

i've just been getting into these guys myself...really really good music. if you like them check out school of seven bells. it is a bit different, but in the same vein as m83 and just as enjoyable.

i love stereolab and mars audiac quintet is one of their best. have you checked out emperor tomato ketchup and dots and loops yet? those are two more favorites of mine.
