A single president can rarely take the blame, but are you implying that Obama's spending and retarded ass policies aren't greatly worsening the problems he promised to fix?
I say that republicans would have done the same thing because it was the generally right thing to do economically no matter what "rah rah go team" side you're on...
Dumbass: YOU THINK EVERYONE WHO HATES OBAMA LOVE BUSH
Trying to critique a political decision based on the knowledge most of you have is like a child trying to diagnose a car problem based on the fact that he knows "its supposed to go places and has wheels".
That is the government; it only exists to do things that society couldn't accomplish without its central power (armed) and decision-making process (the rule of law). It arises solely from a state without government, by people, to do these things. The questions are: what is its appropriate scope? What can it do better than people without the government?
Just because it does something, doesn't mean it was the right thing to do for society.
I get this stupid fucking pamphlet from Representative Keith Ellison every couple months, it's only four pages, but it's written in four different languages. It has nothing of substance, one was like "remember to fill out the census, thnx". Then in big letters at the bottom it says "PRINTED AND SENT USING UNITED STATES FEDERAL FUNDING".
Go to a town with no zoning, and tell me it's better than one where the local government carefully maintains and coordinates building codes, road layout, and the details of the civic design.
When you take money and put it towards building things, and towards helping people not lose their houses. It doesn't just vanish, its an investment, it buys assets and builds the country. It's intended to make the country strong going forward, it's trading paper for real physical value.
When you spend that money, the construction companies, the home builders, the machinery renters, the manufacturers that make the machines, they're all getting that money, and guess where it goes, to their employees, to their investors, it makes the company stronger and more confident to hire people..
