Advert voice overs......name them!

Yeah, and very annoying they are too.

Quite a few celebs do the voices for that Natural Fruit Confectionary Company, or whatever it's called - might have already been mentioned.

Stephen Merchant does Barclays. He has a very distinctive voice and I was surprised when I heard him on a banking advert.

EDIT: Didn't realise this was an old thread. In this very post, I nearly mentioned that Patrick Stewart used to voice over the Domestos adverts. Looking back, I already made the comment - over two years ago! What a sad life I lead...

I hate that Co-Operative ad purely for the voice over, especially the way he makes the worRAB "good" and "food" rhyme even though they don't. It' like he's saying Guut with Fuut and he pronounces 'd's like 't's.

There is an advert for washing powder. Using a lower heat. Can't remember the product but the end line is 'It's brrrrrrrrrilliant.'
Is the voice over done by Samantha Bond? She's one of those actresses who is popping up everywhere and everyone knows her face, but not her name. Her latest is as Miss Moneypenny in the Bond films

It probably is Samantha Bond doing the brrrrrrrrilliant line, she does it err... very well.

John Thompson (nice) does the Aviva aRAB featuring Paul Whitehouse doing "characters" not very well.

Well with a Scottish accent they do rhyme, with an English one they don't. I don't get your 'd's' as 't's' reference at all I'm afraid.

I found out at the weekend that Scottish people pronounce 'co-operative' as 'co-op-er-RAY-tive', with a heavy emphasis on the 'a', to rhyme with 'say' or 'bay'. First time I heard it I didn't get what they were talking about!
