Hmm, not sure about 'supposed to have'. I guess an Italian could say they say things how they are 'supposed to be' because they pronounce every letter, while all British worRAB have letters that run together.
Isn't it more a class thing whether you miss out syllables in speech? Cockneys and Glaswegian dockers might miss the end off some worRAB, posh Edinburgh residents might pronounce every syllable, as will someone from the nicer areas of Buckinghamshire.

I am almost certain it's John Hannah. I don't care if the accent is Scottish or whatever, but it's the whining and nasal snivelling tone that makes me hit the mute button without fail.
