The only program I know of that might work is Windows Media Player. You should be able to pause your video there and then save screen as. There are any number of video players out there but none, that I know of, are free. However try Google - video software.

why don't you just buy a card reader instead. Probably less expensive than a cable and you'll have no more cable, software or hassle.

I'd say no. Look at the bottom of the old flash, one contact at center and one in the grove of the mount. Now look at the flash mount on a Canon SLR - probably 5 contacts. Does that tell you anything?

Taking photos without flash isn't the point - the flash needs to be working. Check your owner's manual. There are menu settings for disabling the flash and it may simply be turned off.

If you've been doing photography for many several years you know as well as I that these things don't last for ever. Perhaps you indeed changed a setting but if you've not been in there perhaps you just need a new flash bulb - it happens with time. Good Luck

Are you talking about having shots done by a pro? If so that would depend on the pro. Could be $10 a shot, could be by the hour. You'll have to call these folks to find out.
