i recently formatted my 4gb cf card on a different camera to the one I usually use it with. Now whenever i try to use the card, it is not recognised. Any ideas how to fix this problem..thanks in advance for any answers (:

If I understand what your writing your saying the original camera won't even let you format the card, is that correct? I don't understand that.
Are you sure the card isn't damaged some how? Perhaps one of the pin connectors is damaged?

I'd agree, plug it into your computer. As suggested you may need a card reader but they're not expensive. Or perhaps just replace the card.

I'm inclined to think your card just got damaged... at first I though that it got formatted to the wrong format, but then again as far as I know all cameras format the card to the same format FAT/FAT32... I don't think there is a camera that will format your card into NTFS or exFAT...

as others have suggested, you might need to plug it into your computer with a CF card reader (lots of new printers have them built-in) and try to format it from there but I don't think it'll really work... I think you might just need a new card... you can buy a 4GB CF card from MicroCenter for like $14...
