Cineworld policy on Food & Drink

Well something has to change because Joe Public will just stay at home to watch films rather than go to the cinema and pay over the odRAB.

    Badly Behaved Movie Audiences

There's so many threaRAB on here about the same subject - I'm not bothered about duplicate threaRAB, I mention it only because it shows how widespread a problem it is. I think it's something you notice more as you get older too, cinemas are often the hangout place for preteens etc. who tend to...

Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkabhan

Yes Sirius is Harry's godfather. He was a close friend of James and Lilly (Harry's parents) as was Proffesor Lupin who is the Defence Against The Dark arts teacher in POA. I have to say POA is the best of the books, with OOTP second. I really struggles with Goblet of Fire very slow if you ask me.

    Meeting actors/actresses

Has anyone here met a tv/film actor/actresses who turned out to be really nice or a really big jerk. I haven't met one personally but ive heard that Zachary Levi from 'Chuck' is a really nice guy to meet and is very friendly and talkative but ive also heard that people who have met Will Ferrel...

    Ring 3 (D)

The first remake of Ringu is worth the watch, the American sequel was terrible. Definitely not rushing out to see the third, especially in 3D...

Anybody else really excited about 'The Princess and the Frog'?

I went to see it today and thought it was fairly good. Not in the same league as Beauty and the Beast or The Lion King, but I have high hopes for another Disney Renaissance based on this film's apparent success. :)

    Dambusters remake

So apparently Peter Jackson is to produce this film. Is anyone else praying that they don't "Americanize" or "Hollywoodize" this story? The fact that there's no good reason to make it is not a good sign. This coming from someone who just watched (the new) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for...

What was the best or worst teen comedy of all time?

Since when was Boat Trip a teen comedy? Actually, come to think of it, when was Boat Trip a comedy?! Also, St Elmos Fire was a teen movie, but not a teen comedy. The Goonies - teen comedy? More family adventure I would have thought. My faves would have to be Better Off Dead, Sixteen...

    Director's Cuts

I think the Directors cut Walter Hill's 1979 cult classic The Warriors is awfull, at the begining theres about five mintues of cartoon about a Greek War and trying to draw similarities to the movie. Then on certain scenes they use Cartoon Imaging which makes it look rather silly. On this basis...

What was the First film to make you cry? Tell us why if you want to

ET, The Green Mile, Shawshank, Schindlers List, the very end of Star Trek 2 with Spock's sacrifice and funeral, Gladiator, oh many many more. I love a film that makes you cry, somehow it makes the film so much better.

Eyes Wide Shut...and Stanley Kubrick's death thereafter

He may well have died of embarrassment, given the horrible acting and the apparent (bad) dubbing of some of the performances. I could only take about 15 minutes of it before I started cringing. Definitely not the movie he should've ended his career with.
