Yes Sirius is Harry's godfather. He was a close friend of James and Lilly (Harry's parents) as was Proffesor Lupin who is the Defence Against The Dark arts teacher in POA. I have to say POA is the best of the books, with OOTP second. I really struggles with Goblet of Fire very slow if you ask me.

It's out on Russian dvd with English subtitles, so if you look around on the net for russian dvRAB sites, you might be able to order it. If I remember the site I will put it up here. It's getting a region 1(American) dvd release on the 30th October.

The first remake of Ringu is worth the watch, the American sequel was terrible. Definitely not rushing out to see the third, especially in 3D...

I went to see it today and thought it was fairly good. Not in the same league as Beauty and the Beast or The Lion King, but I have high hopes for another Disney Renaissance based on this film's apparent success. :)

I think the Directors cut Walter Hill's 1979 cult classic The Warriors is awfull, at the begining theres about five mintues of cartoon about a Greek War and trying to draw similarities to the movie. Then on certain scenes they use Cartoon Imaging which makes it look rather silly. On this basis...

ET, The Green Mile, Shawshank, Schindlers List, the very end of Star Trek 2 with Spock's sacrifice and funeral, Gladiator, oh many many more. I love a film that makes you cry, somehow it makes the film so much better.

He may well have died of embarrassment, given the horrible acting and the apparent (bad) dubbing of some of the performances. I could only take about 15 minutes of it before I started cringing. Definitely not the movie he should've ended his career with.
