Sounds like the coil might have a dead spot. Make sure all the connections are perfect. I had a sub like this too once, not much you can do but replace it. It would work when i grabbed the lead wires that go into the voice coil. Are you overpowering it or pushing it too hard?

Why have you not purchased a wiring harness? It matches all the colors to your aftermarket cd player harness. Go down to wire harness http://www.installer.com/cars/by_car.php?carid=2128 Or, these should be your colors in case you have no factory harness for some reason...

Do you have a wiring harness? It plugs into your mitsu harness and makes all the wires the same color as the pioneers, so its a no brainer.

well, sometimes you need to jiggle the keys around harshly or push them in out, side to side to get them to come out. It can be stubborn sometimes.
