My 10" kicker l5 only works when i push on it?

so my kicker l5 was working fine and then it just stopped working. I checked my amp and wiring and everything was fine. I know that for sure cuz i hooked up my other kenwood subs and they worked fine. And i was messing around with the sub and noticed it did work if i gently pushed in on the sub. I took it out of my box and was looking at it and also when i would grab the four little wires that you can see in the sub it also worked then. but it wouldnt work when it was left alone. some one please help!? i would appreciate it! Thanks
well idk if i was because the amp i have is a 1000watt crunch amp that i got from a friend and i dont really know the ratings on it. But i did buy the sub from a guy that may have had it overpowered before i bought it..?
 
Sounds like the coil might have a dead spot. Make sure all the connections are perfect. I had a sub like this too once, not much you can do but replace it. It would work when i grabbed the lead wires that go into the voice coil.

Are you overpowering it or pushing it too hard?
