Putting it in a sealed box would help great. It seals off the pressure pushing back against the sub. A ported box let's the pressure leave giving the sub less bounce. But ported box produces that lower loud bass.
If you car is new, maybe within 10 years old, in order for the remote start to work you need an extra key. Some of the late cars (not sure about Scion) have chips inside of their keys that help in preventing the car from being stolen. Well for it to work you need 2 keys, one goes in the alarm...

The solobarics will pound harder if put in the correctly built box. They have bigger cone area than the CVR's but also require a bigger box than the CVR's. They also have a higher RMS.
I'd choose L7 over CVR anyday.
the mustang is 1.4L bigger motor and has about 40 more horsepower and are very close in weight.
Depending on automatic or if it's a standard and what RPM and how fast the shifts are, but i think mustang would win.
And also here's this for the
HondaManufacturer's 0-60mph acceleration time...
Woah buddy, hard decision. If the 12"s are solobarics, choose two 12's. But then with that L5, that has the surface area of an 18" subwoofer because it's a square. The solobaric and kicker amp would be a great combo.
Make that box huge, as big as you can. Like 5 cu ft. If you need any help...

Do not wire them up parallel.
12" Dual 2 ohms HCCA Series Competition Subwoofer
Power Handling:
* Peak: 4000 watts
* RMS: 2000 watts
That sub is not 3000 watts RMS, it's 2000 watts RMS, with dual 2 ohm voice coils would wire it to 1 ohm and would be sending your 2000 watt sub 2500...
