Employment history needed for mortgage approval?

What is your job history? Only ONE of the couple needs to meet the 2 year job history Lenders prefer a 2 year history with one employer, but will settle for 6 months or more, as long as there's a 2 year continuous history in industry Remember getting a loan is NOT a right, you are the petitioner

Should or CAN I combine my Mortgage loan with my home equity loan (Refiance together)?

Whatever else you do, the Roth IRA is an excellent idea at your age. Paying off the HELOC is an excellent idea, also. There are costs to doing a re-fi, and as long as you have built some equity in the house or the market value has grown, you may be able to combine them into one loan, which is...

What is the law regarding dependent roomates?

Your brother should go to his employer/LL and tell him that you are his sibling and dependent. He should tell LL that there is no problem to you being added to lease as an occupant, but not as a lessee. Dependent is a term for filing income taxes, not necessarily relevant to leasing. As you...

Why is the judge telling me to come back to court Monday in my eviction of non paying...

Maybe you didn't draw up your petition in such a way as to get prompt action. You may need to amend it, to also claim October rent, depending on what was in original. Judge may not be requiring you to come to prove they may be evicted, may be, you haven't given enough information.

Rental Business: Tenant wants to leave items in apartment?

Advise tenant to contact Goodwill, Salvation Army and to donate his stuff. Or to post notices in building asking other tenants if they are interested in this stuff. Or to call local churches as it's rummage sale season, and ask if any will take his stuff--mine would for 10/8! Tell tenant you...

    Business owners and landlord?

Mum needs to READ her lease. Generally a LL is responsible for repairs to systems UNLESS Mom has NET lease which transfers to tenant the responsibility. Should always be clear and understand any documents you sign, what your obligations are.

Mother in law won't take her own home back, foreclose?

YOU KNOW all the answers, so why post when you also limit what we can say? . . . . . . "And I don't need any answers about how we should live up to our responsibility and my husband is the one who signed and blah blah blah. I'm not exaggerating when I say he was coerced and that she is evil!". ...

Certainly you can counter sue in the suit against you. In equity LL should have clean hands, and you're stating she doesn't, so counter about failure to fulfill requirements of law, etc. Did you respond to the letter stating you had agreed? Had you requested a final reading from electric...

How can people settle tax debt with the IRS for peanuts (TV ads), unless they first

Usually can't. IRS won't settle unless you owe big time, more than $20,000, in most cases. You can work out payment plans and show hardship and get reduced repayment. Don't have to sell off ALL assets. But IRS can put lien on house and assets, so that when you sell, you pay IRS.

Due to a stale market, I need to rent my condo. What steps do I need to take? Lawyer?

Check out your bylaws. Many do not permit renting out condos or limit the time period or reasons. Check out your state LL/Tenant laws. Buy a form lease from a stationery store, good for your state. Read the lease carefully and understand it. Cross off any parts that don't apply. Don't let...
