Nor does the carrier get a chance to remove functionality from the phone. Yup, I agree. Factory fresh, and unlocked, all the way. I'm fine with paying an extra $200ish for that.

I would unlimited 3g for $15 a month and if you have unlimited fam texting data would be only $10. You cant beat 3g data for $10 bucks.

same goes for having that nexus on AT&T with no 3g.. Worthless IMO. Same goes for the 1st gen iPhone (no 3g) again worthless which is why I didn't get it. 3G is where it is..... A phone without 3g... Well....

Both serve their purpose. If you want a phone that a 4 year old can use then the iphone will fit the bill. Its a good device that if you fit inside the box will serve you well. Android can do more and is still easy to use. Just not totally idiot proof perhaps. Google up on it or try one and...
