Dawn of the Dead '78 is my number one favourite zombie movie, closely followed by Day of the Dead. No-one could do it like Romero in his hayday. Never was much of a fan of Fulci's works, the gore was good but the film-making didn't grab me the same way that Romero's did.
More recently I was lucky enough to see a British made zombie movie, Colin which is a completely fantastic twist on the genre, telling the story from the zombie's side.
Plague of The Zombies, (shudder ) yep, a classic and scared the pants of me as a kid, infact those zombies still look pretty creepy. That and The Reptile are my favorite Hammer Horrors.
