Your Wants for Future S60 Versions

How about the obvious....more FN RAM!!!!

...and I didnt realize that it was set in stone that the N95 will have the ability to adjust the Font Sizes...NICE!!!

I want ...

1) Repeatable alarm
2) SMS/Voice mail/missed call audible reminder
3) Auto Key lock
4) Automanic profile switch based on the calender events. Like for meetings it should switch to meeting profile.
5) Call blocking - Do not ring for certain contacts.

Now I'm not part of the corporate world but have you seen the star trekkies in the San Francisco business district? The beltpacks should also hold true in the business districts of most US metros...

Most of the S60's w/ the thumb boards are bricks already so the addition in size may not really be a drawback, why not make life easier and put in a second sim slot there and the other necessary hardware & firmware to run a second gsm foneline in the background?

There could be many reasons for wanting 2 separate lines in a single unit but haven't you ever seen a well dressed man/woman in starbucks pulling up 2 fones to each ear and telling his spouse/significant other to hold coz the work fone is ringing? Or worse the stigma we have of what seems to be dope dealers walking towards you on Oakland's streets pulling out what looks to be two dark objects from their jacket pockets or tucked in their jeans to the relief of seeing them pull it up to their ears instead of pointing it at you? Its business no matter if its the corporate world or the average joe on the streets making a buck. But nonetheless, there can be tons of reasons for having the second simultaneous line running in the background...

I just want lotsss of ram for running program, something in the likes of 128mb
and also support for 4gb+ memory cards.

I would also like built-in Flash 8/9 or whatever so I can use the browser to see flash based content, like YOUTUBE!!!!

and FOTA enabled by default on allllllllll phones!!!!

well, one, three, and four can all be done easily with third party apps. The last can be done out of the box, kinda. If you set up the contacts you dont want to ring in a group, you can specify under the profiles editing what groups ring and which ones dont.

8 gb hd
vga resolution
5x optical zoom
256 mb ram
FOTA
quadband gsm and triband 3G
Decent battery life (unlike n80)
fexplorer integrated as olly suggested

+ everything in the n95

thats its so far

Hmm... AFAIK, you can't import/export from different symbian versions... If you can, please tell me how. It'd be nice if Nokia implement a way of doing that instead of letting us do the technical stuff...

Hmmm... To-Do view?????? >.< I think it actually makes sense...

Agree with all this! How can I forget Auto Key Lock?? Even though I always remember to lock my phone as it is now a habit, this shoud be intergrated into the OS!!
Call blocking is also a nice thing to have.
More advanced alarm would also be nice... Like set alarm time for week days and alarm time for sun & sat.
Sure, there ar third party apps, but I don't see why we need to install third party apps for these features...

well putting the mp's in the cam is silly cuz it just moves on and on...i think those specs will be good enough for years to come lol

text to speech for sms is already available and it is built-in in the 5500 Sport...

changeable font size is confirmed on FP1

streaming is also confirmed on FP1

FOTA is also confirmed, but the question, is will your provider have it???

i really want what Symbian promissed, a phone that will replace my PC...

I know...jsut being ..I've had a sony 5mp for years and it's been just fine. As seen with the N80 vs the N73/N93, Pixels arent what counts....it's the lens. I think 5mps are fine as long as the lens is improved. I was looking at some pictures of my vacation shot with my N73 tonight and my wife still cant believe they were from a phone...(she's such a noob though ) She still gets giddy when she gets to use her treo650 qwerty to send a text to her friends.

I'm really surprised the N91 doesnt have one. I can see an ipod not having one as they are in bed with aftermarket companies but with nokias commitment to connectivity, this is a no brainer for current and future music oriented phones.

LOL....I do when I try to keep up with her qwerty. When I had my E61 I could flat out smoke her but I'm not far behind with T9 either.

I didnt make myself very clear on that one .....I was saying that an option to have different applications available on the active standby by profiles. Like a gaming profile (for example) could have all active standby apps as games or a business profile with the active standbys reverting to messaging, calendar, etc. It's too much of a hassle going to the settings each time you want to put something up there....anyway, something that would be nice!
