Your first reaction to a different ethnicity or culture?

Everything about Americans disgust me. From their ignorance and rudeness, to their greed, and their obesity.

Everyone else, A & C.

You meet someone from a different culture. Your first reaction would be best described as…

A. You are interested to learn about a different culture than your own. You act friendly and start a conversation.

B. You feel threatened by their differences, so you remember a negative stereotype that rationalizes your dislike.

C.You don't focus on ethnic or cultural differences. Perhaps you already work and/or live in a multicultural town and you're always looking for common ground.

D. You avoid anyone different than yourself. You prefer that "different people" live somewhere else.

Of course, all reasonable comments are welcome, and the most constructive answer will get picked. :-)

my initial reaction would be C. i dont have a "reaction" really to people of other cultures in the since that i wud act differently. i probably wudnt notice unless they had an accent or something. Secondly A, this would be after meeting the person and finding out that they have a different background. i LOVE culture so if i realized they had some interesting cultural facts to share id definately want to know. i dont believe that stereotypes are accurate so they would neither threaten me or make me dislike someone. and thinking that "different people" should live somewhere else is rediculous. who defines different anyways?? :)

C.
Once you live in a diverse community, you are really comfortable around mostly any culture or race.
and then you start to learn that all people are basically the same.
Unless your the type of person who shelter yourself from the world.

C...
Really I don't care about a persons ethnicity or culture. The only thing that matters to me is if we're compatible whether is be business or personal.
As long as they aren't disrespecting my ethnicity or culture we will remain on good terms.

bit of a and c. But i live in a very rough area thats dominated by white and blacks...that are totally racist to other cultures and ethnicity. If ur anything other than white or black u won't enjoy living there. U'd probably not want to venture out past 9ish.
