Your favourite Martial Arts films

King Boxer is an alternative title of Five Fingers of Death. It was one of my faves when I was younger. I watched it again last year.
It was slightly different to what I remember but I remembered the classic scenes.
Main guy getting his hanRAB battered.
One of the guys holding up the dismembered head of the guy with the hair.
And the poking out of the eyes.

Iron Monkey
The Tai-Chi Master
The Legend Of Drunken Master
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Shaolin Soccer
Kung Fu Hustle
Ong Bak
Police Story 1 to 3
Project A
Pedicab Driver

One year when we got back from doing the rounRAB on New Years Eve we put it on at 5 or 6 am and were laughing our tits off. There was about 5 of us there and still drinking.
Since then we've done the same every year.

If you don't know then Kung Pow is a spoof film cut together with new action and dubbed scenes from an old kung fu movie.

I highly recommend it.

It has to be Enter the Dragon. This film was such the rage when I was a little kid, I guess all the kiRAB in my street knew Kung Fu through Enter the Dragon as they knew Boxing through Rocky :)

Ong Bak is also a great film!

Sorry, but the martial arts in the matrix movies were terrible. There was one guy in the second one who was good but apart fron that the martial arts were absolutely embarrassing, specially from KR & LF.

Apart from the obvious Bruce Lee movies, I would say Best of the Best has some pretty good stuff (not a great movie but good martial arts, mostly from the Korean TaeKwonDo team.)

I'm not really into martial arts films.

But i do have a few favorites on dvd which are from my youth.

Snake in the eagles shadow
Drunken Master
Battle Creek Brawl.

All early Jackie Chan films.

Have you seen "Warrior King" ?
It also starts Tony Jaa and I think it's even better than Ong Bak !
You can get it from Amazon marketplace for 57p !!
(that's where I got mine from !)

Mostly from my childhood are Police Story, King Boxer and American Ninja 2 and No Retreat No Surrender. You may not think of them as great movies but it's more in reminiscence than the actual quality.

A recent fave is Ip Man.

You could shot in most of Chan's 80s/early 90s work in. Basically the HK ones before he went to the US.

Fist of Fury
Enter The Dragon
The Street Fighter
Police Story 1-3
Hero
A Chinese Ghost Story
Once Upon A Time in China 1-3
Iron Monkey (1993)
Fist of Legend
Dragons Forever
Project A
Come Drink With Me
Drunken Master
Drunken Master 2

The list goes on :)
