Your favorite Cartoon opening themes

Even then, it already is. But the version you entered in didn't do the song justice. This is how I remember the TAS opening.

I could go on naming the Disney Afternoon and Warner themes all day, since nearly all of them are excellent, but, instead, one in particular I must mention, is the hardly-seen-on-Toonami original US Dragon Ball Z intro, "Rock the Dragon". I remember on rare days Toonami would air the movies, I'd get totally pumped up listening to it. The original Sailor Moon theme was great, too. I'm missing how stupid I was for liking these shows just by listening to their intros.:p

"Tank", Cowboy Bebop's jazz-influenced intro is right up there. As classy as the amazing show itself. heck, I'd say "The Real Folk Blues, Part 2"'s only fault was that the intro didn't air with it.

As down-right-awful as Teen Titansand Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi were, I have to say, Puffy did a great job with both intros. They're the queens of J-Pop for a reason.

Speaking of "down-right-awful" and "J-Pop", Azumanga Daioh's intro for you guys, too.

OK, one Warner intro. Batman Beyond's. Techno-metal. Great, trippy stuff. And Samurai Jack's, too. For some reason, I always combine the two together.

To end everything, the most well-known them song of all time, unabridged

Well . . . I'm not a thread police, but I am a moderator, and you are breaking one of the rules of the land. And the rule of the land is not to just create lists without a reason. Tell WHY you like them. Any monkey can make a list, but here at Toon Zone, we're a thinking community. We explain things rather than just throw things out there.

There's also a rule against linking to YouTube links as well, so, technically speaking, you kind of broke two rules here. That said, you have to explain why you like them.

You too, Brandon.

this show rocked, it was the most propaganda filled action show ive ever seen, i watched it on CN when they had the super saturday thing realy late at night.

was this show ever popular outside america?

Since some people don't seem to want to follow the List thread Rules, I'm going to remind people one last time.

PLEASE EXPLAIN YOUR CHOICES.

Posting a list will result in warnings being issued.

I think mine is probably the Animaniacs theme as it contains what you think of as cartoon classic. Catchy, wacky and pure fun and nonsense, what more do you want? Also the Pinky and The Brain song is brilliant, I'm always finding myself inpersonating it.

I think the one opening theme that has stuck with me the most lately is Freakazoid! It does everything that a cartoon theme song should do - encapsulates the whole premise of what you're about to see without you having to see previous episodes - and does it in a way that is completely in tune to the absurdist nature of the show, from the lyrics that set out to have as little narrative logic as possible ("His home base is the Freakalair! Freakazoid! Fricassee! Floyd the Barber cuts his hair! Freakazoid! Chimpanzee!") to cramming in an appearance by just about every character who shows up in the course of the series from Mo-Ron to Lonnie Tallbutt. Basically it manages to make perfect sense and be bat-crap crazy at the same time. :D Plus you don't hear a lot of cartoon theme songs these day with a jazz beat to them. ;)
