You are basically paying $250 for a new controller system with the wii

Very true, that's a really cool idea, except I already own all the old games in emulator form, but I'll probably still pick up some key titles from it.

thank you, this is exactly how i feel. explain to me how the first few games in rayman like running by moving both controllers up and down frantically, swinging a bull on a rope by spinning the controller around and around, or shooting plungers at those things is fun? im sure i would love it if i was a small child. now, i would much rather have gears of war . if i want to play zelda ill just buy a used gamecube and have pretty much the same experience as all of you with the wii.

Exactly

Please don't compare console graphics to PC graphics. Especially stating that the console is better

Lets see the 360/PS3 upgrade a processor or video card next year.

Oh wait.

and thank fucking god they don't. i'm happy to say that my system will last for ~6 years and i won't have to spend anything to upgrade it every couple months. only thingg i have to buy is the games, i won't have to pour money into a new graphics card, etc that will be outdated in less than a year. hence, why i am a console gamer.

LOL at people getting pussy hurt because someone doesn't like their "precious" nintendo system.

You can say gameplay > graphics all you want, but fact is, it's not entirely true. It's a mixture of both.

I played the PS3, and the lack of rumble really felt like something was missing. Especially for that motorcycle/off road game.

Haven't played the wii yet, but the screens I have seen so far are a let down.

I'm a bit puzzled why target and best buy don't have a model to play. I'm guessing it has to do with keeping the controler from "walking away".

I love the Wii contoller system. That's basically the entire point of the console. Why the fuck else would I have bought it? Believe it or not, some people aren't lazy. At least not lazy enough to consider moving our arms to be too much work.

Tell me, what does the PS3 have to offer that makes it worth spending $500 more than what a PS2 costs?
Slightly better graphics? (Like they'd be much better than any halfway decent PC)
Using it as an entertainment center? (Don't we all already have some sort of stereo system?)
Really, I'd like to know what the PS3 has that's worth spending $500 more than you have to.
