Blunt Force Trauma

I know this will probably sound like a stupid question, but here it goes.
I've been playing Xbox 360 since 2007, so I'm very used to the controller/controls.
I almost always snipe, as I have been trying to get as good as the OpTic Gaming players.
My Xbox has broken twice before, and recently broke again, so I'm buying a Playstation 3.
Do you guys think it will take me a while to get used to the PS3 controller and be as good as I am at MW2 on 360, or do you think my skill will hit bottom and I'll have to start over and build my sniping back up again?
