XBOX 360: How do you copy music from your network PC to the hard drive?

I'm not asking because I want to listen to music. I could do that on my computer, or my ipod, or even inside my car.

I'm trying to make a custom soundtrack for a game and the 360 only recognizes playlists with songs place on the hard drive.

But thanks for clarifying.

How do you get the Xbox to refresh the music directories?

If I add music to the network folder, the box will see it. But lately, I've changed file names/folders/ tags and it won't delete the stuff Ive deleted and wont update the new info.

no

you can play music over the network from any winxp or winmce pc, or from almost any usb storage device

but you can only copy music from cds/dvds placed directly into the xbox 360, unless there's a way to copy from a usb device.. my ipod uses firewire so I've never tried
