X-Men 3

Can someone please confirm what happened in the scene after the credits? (using invisible text of course!). Saw the movie last night but didn't hang around for the credits to finish....Is OCTreeHill's comment accurate?

Thanks,

Lee

According to the BBC film news Beast has been cast in X3:

"Kelsey Grammer - better known to TV fans as Dr Frasier Crane - is joining the cast of X-Men 3 as Beast, a giant, blue-furred mutant monster. "Kelsey was born to play the role," says Marvel Comics producer Avi Arad, explaining that Beast is a pacifist PhD genetics researcher who turns into a big blue monster. "This is a big role in the new movie, and when we met with him, you can see that Kelsey has that you'd-better-have-a-dictionary-handy intelligence."

Grammer's not the only recent addition to the franchise's mutant roster as new director Matthew Vaughn (Layer Cake) has been fleshing out the cast list. Ex-footballer Vinnie Jones is playing Juggernaut, a 6 foot 10, 900-pound human battering ram, and Maggie Grace (from US TV's Lost) is preparing to play Kitty Pryde, a woman who can walk through walls. The role of winged mutant Angel has yet to be filled!"

Kelsey Grammer as Beast... Thats actually an inspired piece of casting!

However, no one else is reporting it!

In a recent interview with Avi Arad talked about X Men 3 and the possible director:

"Is Joss Whedon being considered as rumored? Arad says yes. Whedon getting the movie will have nothing to do with how well Serenity does. The look that Avi Arad apparently gave the on-set reporters lead them to believe that Joss Whedon may indeed be directing. He also confirmed that Singer's departure was simply that Warners offered him more money for "Superman"."

So it looks like Joss Whedon could be the front runner to direct X Men 3!

Well unless this talk of animosity is true, if cyclops' role is small enough maybe marsden could do both? I doubt it since the smallness of the part will be down to his leaving... what on earth made him abandon a decent sized role for a bit part? i just do NOT get it...

Make sure to see it!! Even as a girl who was never into comic books (well ok, I was into Bunty and Mandy but not proper comic books), I really enjoyed both X-Men films. Was a bit confused during the second one but watched it again and I was fine.

I dont understand it either but appartently James Marsden is still on for a bit part in X Men 3 as producer Avi Arad says that James Marsden called him and said that he read about his apparently booting from the series on the internet and said, "what are you doing...I told you I'm in.". So it looks like Cyclops wont be recast after all!

More clips out now, including Kitty phasing herself and Iceman as a rocket goes through them, Rogue absorbing Colossus' metal mutation, Pyro and Iceman fighting and Juggernaut throwing Wolverine through a ceiling.

Soo much good stuff!!

According to XMenFilms.net Eric Dane has been cast in X3 as Multiple Man. The site says "Multiple Man has the ability to create duplicates of himself at will through an unknown process whenever he is struck, or even when he snaps his fingers or stamps his foot. Each of the duplicates is completely capable of independent thought and can create duplicates of himself.

The original Madrox can absorb them back into himself at will, at the same time absorbing the memories, skills and experiences of the duplicate. The dupe usually appears to his side, or often near a focused area, such as a finger. The character’s real name is Jamie Madrox".

Did anyone else think the cure kid should have been used more? Was I the only one who wanted him to run up to Jean/Phoenix and give her a big hug (long enough for someone to inject her with the (possibly) permanent cure)?

If it proves true, I'm stoked about that. There seemed quite a bit missing in X-men 3. I hope it "rescues" the movie in the way the Daredevil Directors Cut did.

I spoke to John Bruno, the Visual Effects Supervisor, after I saw the film. He explained that
the scene after the film was purely to set up X4 if it gets made. Early in the film Moira is with a braindead body and Xavier tells his pupils about the ethics of swapping minRAB. Well, the last scene saw Charles transfer his mind to the braindead body. We didn't see his face, but Patrick Stewart says "Moira" and she says "Charles?" and it cuts there.

John Bruno also said that Patrick Stewart played the body and the reason why Moira has him there is because it's Charles' twin brother. That way Patrick can return in X4. SounRAB like a weak soap opera plot, but it's what they plan to do.

AICN linked to a the original IGN article, which has a pretty unflattering pic of the poor girl ( http://filmforce.ign.com/articles/637/637120p1.html )

Got to say, the AICN talkbackers on there are really harsh:

"That's one butt-ugly little witch"
"She got a beeeeeeeg head"
"She looks like Frankenstein's monster in that picture."

I did find this one really funny though:

"That fourhead's so big you should call it a fivehead" :D

She's actually 18 btw. :)
