X-Men 3

If the reports about a number of major characters leaving through various means/having their roles severely cut down are true I think it wll kill the series and there's unlikely to be a fourth. It's like someone at Fox wants this film to fail so they don't have to make another.

I mean, would people really want to watch a 4th film alledgedly without
Prof X, Cyclops, Magneto and Mystique
? It feels to me like they're using this film as a means to cull people so they don't have to try to get them back for a fourth. Why not just make a damn good 3rd film with a satisfying ending and leave it as a trilogy?
 
Im like you Motthus worried, Singer did just a great job on x-men and after watching the tat Marvel has been associated with recently Catwoman and the wofeful Elektra (assasin? mmmm) we really need a good third movie

Just look happend to Blade with its new director 3 was just dam bad
 
Yeah I know he posted that on his offical website but it does seem strange that Avi Arad is still staying that all the cast will return for X3. Especially as Marvel have not offically confirmed that Nightcrawler wont be in X3!
 
I have just read that on the Xmenfilms.net site a rep from Fox stated that Storm is still being written into it:

"The role is being written with the idea that it can easily be switched out for another character under the circumstances that actress, Halle Berry cannot return", says the site. "Should the actress return, the role will likely be expanded to that equal of the other main cast members, in future drafts of the screenplay. It is also possible that the role could possibly remain small for a cameo appearance. Or could the role be recast? This is still being worked out, and won't conjeal until main cast members are asked to return".

So it seems like they are covering all the options and it just up to if Halle Berry returns or not. They also mention on that site about the possiblity of more spin off films with Mystique and Storm in seperate films!
 
thought it was old news that the film is been made! also their could be more films as the X-men world has alot of characters so after this trilogy the next films could follow other characters, as wel as the Wolverine spin-off film
 
Here is some more stuff I have found about X3 on Xmenfilms.net:

"Firstly, there have been rumors amongst the fandom that "Wolverine" may be filmed before X3 - that's false. Finishing the X-MEN trilogy is the top priority of 20th Century Fox, but spin-off films are being developed at the same time. As most know, "Wolverine" and "Magneto" are also in early development.

The studio is set on getting X3 out for a 2006 release. Even though Avi Arad or Marvel Enterprises has listed a May release date, the month of May has been put in question, so changes in release date are a strong possibility. It all depenRAB on the director and shooting locations. A Winter 2006 release is not even being thought about, so nix that idea."

So at least it looks like it should be out for 2006!
