Obama wants to elucidate to children who have no control over their environment, their irresponsible parents, their parents morality, their parents living an immoral life style, parents never available to them, parents who set an example of expecting the government to support them, parents who propagate that they are victims.

Obama has transferred his duties to czars and Congress and he has so much time to put inundate himself in our face and monitored speeches, why not spend this energy in changing the mentality of cities whose continue to birth children who will live lives looking for a place to 'belong, to fit in, to resent' and continue to vote for 'cradle to grave support'. This usually leads to children using drugs, killing each other and imprisonment.

Look at his record: Chicago back room politics and a city whose population live in poverty, crime and corruption. That cannot me that his community organizing has produced anything positive. Would you want to raise your children in that environment?

The best czar Obama could appoint would be Bill Cosby!

This is so true, parents are living it up to life and school to raise their kids. That I can agree with. I think children should have some kind of advocate program at school to consul them as well and see how they are doing during their development. Preventive matures for neglectful and unfit parents. Many issues we face as adults have to do with the fact that many of our parents never really assumed the role as "parents". And only commit to doing what the law requires and checks on. Children need mentors as parents. Not authority figures only, who use their kids as their ego punch bags to assert power over their kids as they see fit.

But the kids do need to get inspired, and their issues address. We all went through different faces, unique and common experiences. That we weren't prepare for. Having someone to lean on is essential. Most parents won't even fill that role.

The better our kids are prepare mentally, emotionally and intellectually, the stronger and better this countries and the world future.

I think America would benefit from providing essential life skills like parenting, personal economics and self development to the next generation and next would be parents. We need to be proactive not reactive. That gangster rap crap needs to be outlaw. it is abusive and destroying every generation.

I second that Bill Cosby believe it or not was the best role model I had. He made me think of what life should be like, not to give in and give up.

One of the most successful economically challenged urban schools I've ever seen requires that parents take a reading test when their child applies to the school. If the parent can't read, or is reading below an 8th grade level, they teach them to read and encourage them to read to their children.

The students who go to this school have double the high school graduation rate that the rest of the city has.

They didn't wait for anyone in the federal government to tell them what needed to be done. I'm not sure why you think the president has any role to play in education, when and with whom people have babies, or anything else on your list.
