Would liquid asphalt spread out on 3/4" mdf anchored in my trunk dampen vibrations

Might. Also might get really messy in hot weather. Don't know your purpose for it but, if I needed to dampen vibration, I'd put down a layer of foam rubber with the wood on top. Cut the wood to be a tight fit and you may not need to anchor it.
 
as dynamat would? dynamat is made of asphalt if i anchor wood down to my trunk and paint asphalt on it will it dampen vibrations?
