well, it all depends on the budget, a nice dash with touch screen, blue tooth and navg.. capable is gonna cost u, for a nice quality sound and amp is always good, u have to look at the speakers input and the amp out put..or u r gonna fry the speakers or the amp...buy you're audio system from audio place. and don't do it you're self if u don't know how...u end up with electrical problems, or the wrong parts... but it the pends on budget.... wanna have the best stuff in the market it gonna cost u, wanna have the cheapest stuff sound is gonna be crappy...

well the first thing to do is look up the big three upgrade for installing car audio...dont buy lightning caps..waste of your money..get a class d amp..buy a receiver that does not put out any kinda of wattage..instead run your mids and highs and subs off of amp power..example..rockford fosgate makes a 1000 watt 5 channel amp..you can run front and rear speakers with the ability to tune them with the built in crossover..then you have a sub channel...i could go on and on..just stick with well known audio not that crap from walmart...good luck..

First find out what your budget is going to be .This way you won't be buying stuff you don't need. Next don't let someone tell you what you want. You know the kind of music you like so build your system around that . You like heavy on bass . Build on this .Start out with a good radio so that you have a clean source of music. The make dash kits that will allow you to replace the factory radio. Two an this is very important never under any circumstance cut the factory radio wires this is a accident waiting to happen, also this way if you decide to sell the car you can put the old radio back in an keep your new one.Next don't go overboard with 4000 watt subs an amps more is not always better.A well planed system will out do a poorly planed system any day. This is a do Your sub or subs must be in a good box . ported or sealed with the right air space or port size.these are a must. If you use a sealed box you can't have air leaks this will rob you of the bass your looking for.The same with the wrong size port.Next make sure that the amp can deliver the right rms wattage to the subs.Next use the right size power wire. To small an your amp will have to work harder an it will start over heating an burn out . I never use anything smaller than 8ga wire except for the remote turn on for the amps. This a Big don't never ground your amps to things like seat bolts or seat belt bolts. These are very bad grounds. also never ground threw paint or primer always scrape till you see metal.Make sure that your ground wire isn't loose this can also damage your amp. .As for not killing the battery. again don't go overboard.unless you want to use bigger subs an amps. Then you use 4ga or 0ga power wire comes into play. Next connecting the subs to the box an amp I use nothing smaller than 10ga.speaker wire. The links below may give you some ideas on what will work for you . I hope this will help you.Good luck. with your project .Let me know if I can help you any more.
