I generally can't stand any of the comedians on tonight's show, yet somehow it was still hilarious. I do find this show/Mitchell, Brydon, and Mack bring out the best in comedians. Certainly the best panel show on TV right now.
 
I was pretty sure I just posted, but it's disappeared.

Really enjoyed tonight's episode.

Liked the bit with the dressing gown and also David's questioning of Lee and rant about the chimpanzee story.
 
I remember reading the Mitchell broken door story in an interview with him a couple of years ago so I knew that one was true.
 
How come Rob Brydon is less bald this series?

Has he been to the Hair Replacement Studio or is it clever hairdressing?
 
I saw it once with Angus, when it was on a different channel (I think... didn't it start on Dave or something, then transfer to BBC?). It was okay but it was around the time everyone had gone off Angus and it just grated on me.

Caught the latest episode because nothing else was appealing, and it was pretty funny. I might watch again if this is the standard I can expect.

Couple of odd points though: Prof Cox didn't get a go in the first round. I guess that is because they had the mystery guest on their team instead. Seemed a bit lopsided as a result.

Mitchell is always good on anything. He is *almost* as intelligent as Prof Cox :p I think if Mr Fry were ever to give up on QI, Mitchell would be the choice for replacement.
 
This is fast becoming one of my favourite programmes of the week. I think it's because the participants all appear to be enjoying themselves. There's no one-upmanship, unlike some panel shows, and they don't seem to mind who gets the biggest laugh.
It's one of those shows where the time just flies by and I'm always disappointed when it comes to an end.
 
I know he does it for a laugh, but any humour it might have had departed long ago for me. Now it is just tired and lazy, and takes up time that would be better spent on the game-show and guests.

(Rob mentioned his socks on some other show, and now he tweets about them incessantly on Twitter. Again, it's very lazy comedy. He thinks he has a thing, or a party trick, and trots it out at every opportunity. That he's doing it ironically doesn't make it funny or witty.)
 
I agree. (Not about the "Grandma's House" comment - I've never watched it.)

Simple concept, very well executed. The main reason it works so well is the complimentary contrast of the opposing captains, both of whom can hold their own against the other while appreciating (albeit in a "take the p*ss way) the contribution their opposite number makes.

Both Angus Deayton and Rob Bryden have contributed well and differently to their own series but the fact that all series have tickled the funny bones equally well all told is a tribute to the captains I feel.
 
Not all of them ;) I know they make a percentage of them up for entertainment.

But David dressing up as an 18th Century nobleman as a child? Ringing a bell if he wanted something? The embarrassment on his face when he admits they're true are the things you look out for.
 
Am having to Iplayer it as clashes with alot of other shows, but i really do love this show, and found series 3 to be the best series yet. Has anyone got any idea if it is getting a 4th series?
 
Enjoyed tonight's episode. I think that it's the last normal episode in the series.

I particularly liked David's bits about the price discounts at shops and his questioning of Lee regarding the time.

I'd like there to be a Christmas special of this or something. It's a great show and would definitely have the right feel for a festive edition.

I really hope it comes back for a new series.
 
Danny Baker covers 'stuff that's broken in your house' every couple of years on his Radio show, always good for a giggle.

Had one chap phone up, Bob in Beckenham, failed to fix the bathroom door handle.
He was locked in for 3 hours until his wife came in from work when the handle fell off while he was in there having a relaxing afternoon bath.
