would a Rockford Fosgate subwoofer sound better than a Sony subwoofer?

im talking about the rockford p3 shallow sub. does it sound better and get louder than the regular sony xplod sub, not shallow. i wanna know. im thinkin about puttin 3 p3 shallows in my truck
