would a Hifonics BXi1608D amp be too much power?

i would have it powering 2 12" alpine type R's at 2ohms.... the rms of both subs together are 1000 watts.. the rms of the amp at 2ohms is 1100 watts.. i kno these subs are power hungry but i REALLY dont wanna blow them. but trust me i want to get an amp that can make them perform at just about max power
 
no its not to much power. you should be fine. just don't crank everything to the absolute max.
