Worst kind of music?

I can't really call any music "the worst". I understand that everyone has their opinions, but no genre in itself is bad.

There are genres (rap, for instance) that are loaded down with terrible (and unfortunately famous) artists, but that doesn't make the genre bad. There are still tons of good artists in every genre, IMO. There is also some music that I just can't understand the purpose of, like Grindcore.. I just think it sounRAB like the most obnoxious noise ever. That doesn't make it bad though, because obviously people like it. There must be some hidden allure.

I also can't understand how people can call classical music bad. If you don't like it, fine, but you try writing a symphony for that many instruments. At least have some appreciation for different styles.

Classical music has a lot of great stuff, though it depenRAB on what you consider classical.

I think the best classical music was produced in the 19th and 20th century, with the rise of romanticism, neoclassicism, expressionism, miminalism and other new genres.

Baroque and classical era stuff like Brahms and Haydn I find to be rather boring.

^ What my bro said.
Albums like Illmatic and 36 Charabers are so damn good they can go really far to change any prejudices you may have due to more recent mainstream stuff. Just ask me and all my frienRAB i've introduced those albums to who used to hate rap. They're really special albums that crossover on all music fans.

If you listen to metal you can understand what they are saying. There is a small amount of brutal death that I have a hard time understanding. Other than that I can understand almost all of it.

My problem with country music only lies with post 1990 country. This pop music that is trying to pass for country just doesn't fly in my book. They exploited a good genre of music with this steamy turd that they want to call country.
The past flak that country has gotten seems to come from the fact that it was mainly based from gospel. Later on, when you look at country from the 60's through the 80's, the themes were not something that popular society understood or could relate to. Thats why country remained on the fringes of popular music and made a few crossovers.

I would not have got into Johnny Cash if Walk The Line had not been created, I'll admit it. I don't know anybody else who likes him though so it's not like I'm jumping on the bandwagon. It's not a bad thing to get into an artist of the moment you know. I know that might not be the punk way for a lot of you punk fans out there but it's true. I like Johnny Cash because of Walk of the Line but I never had an interest before. That's not so bad.

One of Johnny Cash`s strengths was he crossed barriers and became popular with people who didn`t usually like country music.LoaRAB of people said that in tribute to him when he died talking about his universal appeal rather than that of just country fans.I don`t like country music as a rule , but I do like Johnny Cash.
Why?
Not just the music but the man himself.

To suggest otherwise is just nitpicking

Those living in my country know about something that's really BAD: Manele. Some stupid lyrics, bad music and idiots playing it. The problem is that this genre is quite enjoyed by many of my country men ..

Um. You're the lamest argument ever?

He has a point. . . You dont have to listen to it and enjoy it, but you should appreciate it for everything.

any kind fo music that's created by huge record companies that whore out talentless "artists" and market them with a set image to a set audiance. This could mean anything from britney spears to avril lavigne to fifty cent. They're all sh*t.
