Worst kind of music?

It used to irritate me that I couldn't understand the worRAB, until I realized that the voice was just an instrument. I can't understand what a violin is saying, but I still like classical. Cheesy I know.

As for the topic. There is no "worst" music.
But the genre I like the least, prob Prog
 
That song is grating and unlistenable, cheesy lyrics, I don't care if anyone calls it a classic, it's one of the worst songs I've ever heard.

As far as white reggae, yeah it can go bad, like all reggae, but it's certainly not an oxymoron, race has nothing to do with what kind of music appeals to you, The Clash and sublime just to name two have both released excellent reggae tracks.
 
Have any of these people claiming that classical music is the worst kind of music even listened to any? and do they mean the classical period or just in general?
by the way anyone actually listened to death metal? i mean it must have redeeming factors in there
but as far as i can tell
no melody no real harmonic variation
yay aeolian, locrian and phrgian modes...ugh
no range of emotions...only hate and anger
horrible tone devoid of mid-range
lyrics that dont actually matter due to their consistent incoherence
and every song with a frickin double kick
not to mention the hair and clothes and wanky playing

im not a huge classical fan ( im in an electro group, and a big fan of daft punk) but to diss a multi-faceted genre that spans centuries and continents is just ignorant...you really must just not like music
go listen to noisecore and pretend melody and harmony dont exist
 
So what kind of "classical crap" are you refering to? Renaissance, Baroque, or maybe the Romantic Style? Are any of those the type of music you were talking about or should I name more?

If you're going to bash an entire genre, at least do it intelligently, or you'll come off as a complete idiot.
 
This is how much I hate country music:

Like most people, I tend to have problems with the snooze alarm. I fixed that problem by setting my alarm clock to play the local country station. In essence, not only do I have an incentive to hit a button (any button) as quickly as possible, there is little advantage to pushing the snooze alarm. It's like a poor man's version of Russian roulette; sometimes you get lucky and only draw a commercial.

Just because classical music is the predeccesor to todays music, doesnt mean that you have to like it. I'm not saying that it is the worst music, because I don't think that there is a worst kind of music.

But saying that you cannot dismiss it because "where would we be without it" is a redundant argument. So what, before classic was other kinRAB of music. Chanting, scream singing (not the metalcore kind), and I bet that if you heard it, you would think that it completely sucks, and, is the worst music that you have ever heard. Quit with the "its old you have to like it" bull****
 
Look I can understand that not everyone digs classical but...

Don't you think calling a commonly practiced and incredibly diverse musical tradition that is several centuries old the WORST kind of music is a little close-minded?
 
I think madeinNY was just misinterpreted. I think you guys are nitpicking a bit to be honest. She likes Cash but she hates country. That's the same with me aswell. She should have put 'I hate MOST country music' but she obviously didn't think that far into it. It was a mistake. The girl likes Cash but as a rule she dislikes country. Let's leave it at that.
