Oh, that's not the half of it.
Even before shooting Orel he also have out heavy amounts of neglect and emotional abuse. He then takes him on a hunting trip he never wanted to take, berades him viciously when he doesn't want to shoot an animal (and not even for food really, more for the purpose of killing something).
Then in a dunken stupor he shoots his son. And then leaves him lying in the woods, shot, hungry, cold, and hurt for an ENTIRE DAY while he sleeps it off.
Then when he wakes up, he calmly scolds Orel for getting himself shot, rips up the kid's favorite lucky shirt for a bandage, and then yells at Orel for bringing along the First Aid that would have helped out his gun injury.... if he hadn't drunk down all the rubbing alchohol.
Not only that, but he's entirely aware that he's done all of this and doesn't care. In fact, he upfront tells him "I'm glad I shot you" later on.
And I'm not even sure that's the worst of it either.
I don't know if Clay Puppington is the worst animated father ever, but in my book he's way up there for sure.
