Worst cartoon on TV today

Got this idea from the worst 60's, 79's 80's cartoon thread.
Personaly, I haven't seen many current animated series that I like. I'll give reasone why I don't like some of the shows. Chowder, while the animation and plot are appealing and creative, It just never struck me as very entertaining, just kind of bland. Flapjack, 'shudders' If the mighty boosh was animated, you'd have flapjack. Mind numbingly annoying protagonist, mixed with an onslaught of toilet humor makes for a horrible show. Kick Buttowski, the whole thing makes me sick to think someone thought of it, and thought of it as entertaining. Johnny Test, while I do think it's different, and funnier than anything else on right now, it is kind of boring. Johny is what really irks me about the show.

I never cared for Phineas and Ferb. Wouldn't say it is the worst cartoon on tv, but certianly not all that great either. It's essentially the same story over and over again. And it has some of the most unappealing character designs I've ever seen. The mad scientist character is somewhat annoying as well. I will admit it has some funny and clever moments but it is a pretty lackluster show overall.

For me, its Johnny Test I'm annoyed with. I find some of the character designs unappealing, as well as the general plot. It can feel recycled and unfunny. I guess, to me, Johnny Test is like a conglomerate of other shows, but nothing to really set it apart from the rest; it's average and forgettable.

I guess I wouldn't call it the worst cartoon, but I don't like watching it. Other shows like The Simpsons, Family Guy, Spongebob, and Fairly Oddparents aren't that great anymore and have become fairly annoying (actually, for most shows this isn't a recent change). I know there are fans of Barnyard and Mighty Bee!, but I never liked them, either (the former was more due to personal taste, I suppose, and the latter I can respect the animation and other aspects, but I just didn't find more than 2 or 3 likable characters, none of them pivotal).

I've said this before, but for me the only part of Johnny Test that I proactively dislike is Johnny himself. If the writers could just get rid of him and all of the characters directly associated with him (like Bumper and Sissy), then the show would be pretty good. I wouldn't say that Johnny Test is the worst show out there, but Johnny himself is easily one of the most cringeworthy and irritating cartoon characters on the tube right now.

As for worst cartoon on TV today, that's hard for me to say; I usually just don't watch the shows which don't dazzle me. I'm turned off by an overdose of gross-out, random, stoner-ish and mean-spirited "dark for darkness' sake" humor, but that's more of a style than a particular show.

Yeah, I know what you mean, I honestly can say that I could go without cartoons that currently on tv. I don't really even watch tv anymore except with my family. I think the last decent cartoon on tv was King of The Hill, and that was a year ago. I'm convinced that they don't know how to make a good show anymore.

Easily Fanboy and Chum Chum. The CG looks awful compared to shows like Penguins of Madagascar. Also, they rely far too much on "toilet humor" jokes.

Fanboy. Johhny Test & Stoked are the worst toons around today..IMPO.

Anime wise...the only anime on US TV I severly dislike is that byakuman or whatever its called.

I see what you mean, and I agree. The show wouldn't be half as bad to me if Johnny was removed from the equation (though I dislike Dukey, particularly his design; I rather have his character improved than for him to be written out, though). I find Johnny rather bland, almost a obligatory human male protagonist lacking any real personality or traits that differentiates him from other main characters. I suppose I do like his hair, and I'm rather partial the the twins' designs. But Johnny himself, now that I think about it, is more the cause of many of the shows weaknesses, rather than just one of the issues.

Removing Johnny would make the show watchable simply because of how it revolves exclusively around his obnoxiousness, but it wouldn't magically fix all the other technical/artistic flaws (lazy designs, bad Flash animation, bad pacing, stale gags). Though I admit I wouldn't mind watching a spin-off with the twin sisters.

What about The Garfield Show? Stale writing and humor mixed with howlingly bad CGI animation worthy of Video Brinquedo... yet CN treats it like one of their hallmark shows? I'm sick of randomly tuning into CN and always, ALWAYS seeing either that or Test.

Yeah, that's pretty much the only animated show for when it comes on I immediately change the channel. The character designs are just too ugly and disgusting, as if they tried to make everyone look as ugly as possible. Plus, underwear always disgusts me and they have it on the outside constantly, so.. no way jose for me.

One show I really can't stand is, 'Fanboy and Chum Chum'. I've never had the show on long enough to give good judgement, but man those are some of the ugliest character designs I've ever seen. From the opening theme to the characters, I'm easily annoyed by it and I change the channel. I don't know to me its just not funny. Its ugly though.

I rather like the Fanboy and Chum Chum 2D animation title cards that I've seen. While I'm not a fan of the show's toilet humor, I think the designs would look nicer if they weren't in 3D. It wouldn't remove the hyperactive touch that kids seem to be drawn to, either, and could still keep the bright colors.

I guess I'm going with the notion that the removal of Johnny would at least change the gags, plots, and some of the pacing, simply because removing Johnny would change the plot (at least to some degree). Thus, we might get something of a different show. I could forgive some of the character designs (except truly terrible ones like Dukey) and even bad animation in that case, and just hope the latter would improve with a better budget in future seasons.

Of the shows I've actually tried to watch, my vote would go to Spongebob Squarepants (Fanboy sounds terrible, but I've never seen a frame of it, so I can't honestly comment). Ugly character designs, not funny, and some of the most teeth-gritting ear-bleeding annoying voices I've ever heard.

I only got two, but I'll think of more later.

Fanboy and Chum-chum- Who in the right mind greenlighted this? The designs are horrible, the CG is horrible, and dont get me started on the vomit inducing humor. All this show is, is a show that puts the word Fanboy into Fandumb. Honestly if kids want to look at superhero type cartoons, somebody show them Batman TAS or even Swat Kats instead of this mess.

Johnny Test- CN honestly didnt sue the people who made this one. Nobody can see the obvious similarities? You can honestly see that this is just a play on words on Johnny Quest when all it is its just a knock off of Dexter's Lab(the genders are switched). The animation is bad, the humor is rather predicable, and this is a show that looks like that was made by a 2 year old who doesn't know a thing about cartooning. This in my own view is a show thats not even made by a cartoonist. Just somebody doing garbage for cash.

I don't get cable, and stopped watching the CW when Gogoriki was taken off, so I'm left with the oh-so daunting task of choose what the worst show on Qubo is.

While Rescue Heroes (awful character design, bland plots, stick-over-head morals, cringe inducing name puns) and Jane and the Dragon (completely, mind numbingly dull for its setting and potential, all the characters are either jerks or idiots, Dragon is a container of French cleaning solution, if yaknowutaimean) are close runners-up, the worst show available to me is definitely Boo!

It's basically trying to be a kids puppet show, but in television format. There are kids (all English) that drone out what's happening on the screen, but they all sound like they're even more bored than anyone that has the poor fortune to be watching the show. The """"plot"""" involves a blue bean bag man that tries to escape the boredom of his program by hiding from the viewers, who are supposed to "find" him. There are other (also one dimensional) characters who each have traits shared by me when I watch this show. Growling Tiger (I can't stop talking about how bad it is), Sleeping Bear (what eventually happens, since the show is on after midnight, inexplicably), and Squawking Parakeet (as in 'sqaaaggg, this show is borrrrrinnnggg').

There are also songs, but the less said about them the better.

Like teletubbies and boobahs, the show has absolutely no point. I literally feel my mind becoming numb watching it. I'm not even making a joke. I can't watch more than a few minutes before descending into a stupor. The bored English kids sound like the kids from 'The Wall' if you extracted all enthusiasm and individuality. There's no plot, no character development, no educational value, and, ultimately, no point.

Did I mention the main character never talks?

I'm tempted to say the show isn't offensive, or anything, but the idea that any parents would actually consider letting their kids watch this garbage is somewhat frightening.

I agree with Fanboy & Chum-Chum, but it's not like I despise it, I just don't like watching it.
I like its colorful look, and the catchy opening, it's just that the stories and characters often come across as shallow and flat. Kyle (the wizard guy) has more depth in his character than the two main ones.

This is a tough one for me, so I'm gonna start with the current crop of 'toyetic' anime that's out there. They just don't grab me the way that anime from the past use to grab me. The concepts behind them, the character designs, and the storytelling leaves alot to be desired. This would include the majority of 4Kids shows, and stuff like 'Bakugan'.

'Totally Spies' is another current show that I'm not too crazy about. While the 'Charlie's Angels' concept has some appeal, the overall execution just comes off as too juvenile, and shallow for me to stomach. It's kinda hard to take Sam, Alex, and Clover seriously due to their 'valley girl' personalities. Especially Clover, who's probably the most vapid of the three. Jerry tends to just yank them out of their school work in the most odd ball ways ever without any regard for their own lives, or interests. Even to the point where he's cut off their communication when they're in a tight jam. (That's gratitude, for you.) Speaking of which, these girls get captured quite often in this show, and while that can provide a 'bondage' subtext for perverted folks, (I'm no prude) there's gotta be more to it then that. I'm sure if this series was handled by a good anime studio from Japan, the whole look, and tone of this show would've been different, and probably much better, but since Marathon can't rise to the occasion, It's hard to appreciate 'Totally Spies' as anything more than mindless fluff. And to think that Jennifer Hale, and Jess Harnell worked on that series.

'Johnny Test' is another show that makes me weep for the current state of the animation industry. While this show is notorious for being called 'Dexter's Laboratory' in reverse, it lacks the humor, creativity, and charm of the Cartoon Network classic. Now in it's early years, the animation was done in pencil, and paper, which looked decent enough for it's time, but once the series switched over to Flash, the overall animation took a serious nosedive.

I cannot tell you how much I agree about the Qubo mentions, but, for me, the worst one has to be Maisy.

I cannot say how much I hate that show. The main charater sounds like they gave a microphone to a baby and recorded it! The other characters sound exactly the same and the announcer sounds like he's bored. The plots are so boring that it makes me say, "Why do we care?"

The "Boo" show is just as bad. The kids are so annoying and they give weird names to the charcters. Plus, I've heard them sometimes say, "I'm doing (blank)." I don't care what you're doing, I can't see you! They also point out the most obvious stuff like, "The water's blue." No, the water's orange! I think anyone can see it's blue!

I never got the Jane and the Dragon. The plot sounds decent, but the execution is terrible. The characters are annoying and I just can't stand them! It's just not a very exciting show.

I don't get why you stopped watching the CW after Gogoriki was taken off. Wasn't there anything else that interested you? (I can see where you're coming from, Saturday mornings without cable are pretty boring. :()
