Worst cartoon on TV today

Depends. Should programs contain gratuitous content just to justify the PG rating? I mean excessive violence does not a mature cartoon make.

The FCC thinks otherwise. :p

On the topic on hand, I'd say the Garfield Show, the plots are terrible, the CGI is just plain messy, and somhow they managed to turn virtually all of the characters unlikable.

I also hate this show for the same reason.

Another show I really dislike is Casper's Scare School. It's bad in every way possible: the animation, character designs, characters, and writing!

Personally, I thinK 'The Garfield Show' should've been animated in 2D like 'Garfield & Friends' was. To me, Garfield works much better in pencil animation. The CGI would work better for a video game rather than a series, but that's just my preference.

You watch qubo too, i have to agree with everything that yo said exept for rescue heros witch i like, at lest there geting a bunch old cartoons like heman shera, the ghostbusters, bravestar and the majic school bus.

The Ape Escape cartoon is preeeeetty horrible. It's barely animation, and the designs and plots are really bland and unfunny.
Is it still on TV in the US?

Also, remember, most of the toyetic animes are heavily altered from their original versions.

Oh boy this is going to be a long one.

Marvel Super Hero Squad: I dont know how to descibe this show other then its to juvinile for its own audiance. I'm sure that doesn't make much sense but I will try and explain it. I dont know who this show is for the look and even the plot screams its for toddlers infact thats what the toyline is for. But the writing and jokes seems it should be for an older kid with all the fart jokes. Also the voice acting whats bad about this is they have a huge allstar cast for the voices and they are just miscasted half the time. The show is a giant train wrech not knowing what direction it wants to go in. I dont know if this show is even on the CN anymore I haven't seen it in awhile but I hope it does die an early death unlike Spectacular Spider-Man and Wolverine this show actually deserves it.

Johnny Test: I dont think I have seen a show that was as bad as this in a long time. Its scary it is popular enough to keep getting more seasons and be played million of times a week on Cartoon Network. The show is beyond generic with writing that fels like a ten year old wrote it. Maybe thats why kids like it its so childish that no mind with even remotely any maturity can understand it. Also the Flash animation is really bad. I hate flash animated shows and this show is one of those perfect examples of why this type of animation just plan sucks.

6Teen and Stoaked: Like alot of people I watched TDI and found it fun. These shows pretty much got on CN because TDI was popular. The thing was it didn't have any of the stuff that made it popular. The reality show parady the drama of what comes next who is gonna win whats going to happen next. Instead it was just one of those crappy Nick tweencoms animated in Flash.

Fanboy and Chum Chum: Alright count me in as one of those that never watched a full episode because the show just looked to gross to be able to keep watching. Funny thing is I'm normally not grossed out by stuff but this show I dont know wha tit is about those designs but I cant even look at them.

Bakugaun and Beyblade: Ok I'm not one of those guys who hates show made to sell toys, cards or games. Beast Wars and Digimon are two of my most favorite shows. These two shows on the other hand dont have anything on Digimon or Beast Wars. Bakugaun is beyond generic pretty much filled with the typical character archtypes you see in this genre. The monster really aren't all that creative as well. Beyblade its spinning tops the whole concept doesn't even work for a tv show.

Amazing Spiez: I was not a fan of Totally Spies but it was passable it was fine to kill some time when I was waiting on a good show. This show doesn't exactly have the charm or some of the wierd fetish stuff that has inspired some fanart of deviantart. Also the voice acting with pretty terrible compared to the other series. This show doesn't have any redeeming qualities the other show had. Putting kids in the spy roles just makes the thing feel like Spy Kids.

I hear ya.

When Mike Henry spoke at RIC a few years ago, he half-joking claimed that the writers on FG are some of the most racist and sexist people you'll ever, and said that one of the writers said a racially-insensitive remark about rice pattys to Cherry Chevapravatdumrong (another writer on the show who is a woman of Thai descent).

And I can't help but whole-heartedly with everything you said here, Behonkiss. And the fact that I used to find Family Guy consistently entertaining makes the lousiness of the newer episodes more painful than other animated shows out there today that may be worse than FG, but I have no emotional connection to what so ever and don't care for.

I do think a handful of newer FG episodes like "PTV", the Star Wars parody specials, the Multiverse episode, etc. are at least moderately entertaining, the majority of Family Guy episodes have let me indifferent and bored (which I actually consider more offensive than the off-color jokes).

Luckily, I have the feeling the show will end in a few years (Seth said he wouldn't go past 10 seasons, and they're in the middle of airing episodes from the 8th production season, so it shouldn't be long before FG ends).

Perhaps not gratuitous, but it does seem to squander a lot of potential that comes with the rating. It's a comedy show so it's kind of an odd comparison, but Total Drama Island seemed to take advantage of it more, even if it wasn't my kind of humor.

That's mostly due to FCC rules. Plus, many parents would get upset over the violence in the show. It's like Marge Simpson, when she got angry at Itchy and Scratchy.

Everything that is not Family guy, South park, American dad, Adventure time, Futurama, Flapjack and Batman: Brave and the Bold.

Why? Aren't most of these.... immature in their humor department?

Really? Immature?:( Does it matter?;) I find the fun in them. That's it.:)
Unlike many other, narrow minded, humorless, sad people:sad:.
Okey, maybe I overreacted there:o. BUT, it's not less true:p.

Why don't I like other shows sight now? I just don't find the fun in 'em.
I'm narrow minded, humorless and sad like that.;) Don't get me wrong:ack:,
I like action shows too, but only some.
I can't get into Generator Rex, Ben10(whatever show) which is in my mind, immature. The rest falls in the same toilet:flapjack:.
My hopes lies in Sym-bionic Titan, Woverine(and the other people) and the extremly rotten corpse of a hope, a third season of spectacular spider-man:crying:. Which will never happen, the season is finished though, so mayby it could get released in some way or form(DVD?).

Also I like using smilies, which are cool. They are really good at promoting feelings in a post of words.:D

I feel exactly the same way. I have absolutely no idea what the worst cartoon on tv is. If there's a show that I don't really enjoy, I tend not to watch it. So it's kinda hard to for me to compare which is the worst of the worst.

I'll say this though: I think the worst cartoon on tv today (whatever it may be) is probably better than the worst cartoon on tv 25 years ago. I think that the quality of cartoons has increased over the last couple of decades.

Yeah, I'll go with this too. Any cartoon nowaways that tries to get away with having a Hanna-Barbera or Filmation level of quality would get canned before an episode ever gets drawn.

I don't know if I fully agree with that notion, atleast those shows tried to be funny for everyone (even though most of them failed epicaly) But, I can't fully say, I've not begun to see everything Hannah Barbera and Filmation had to offer, and I've only seen the (best?) they had to offer. I know of several horrid shows, like the Brady kids was it? Anyway, I'd probably trade our cartoons today, with the exception of a few, for those HB and F shows.

That's actually one of the only things I can praise Spongebob for. The writers know that they're breaking the laws of underwater physics, and they have fun with it. I can give them MST3K Mantra there.
