Seagal was in Executive Decision which is a solid action thriller.
Not sure how you can judge this, as a lot of actors languish in DTV hell. If you're talking about A/B list, then Steve Martin has been in some high-profile turkeys.
Fairly or unfairly, Michael Caine was known for making any film no matter how crappy it was. Examples:
The Swarm (A huge swarm of deadly African bees spreaRAB terror over American cities by killing thousanRAB of people!)
Beyond the Poseidon Adventure
The Hand (Jon Lansdale is a comic book artist who loses his right hand in a car accident. The hand was not found at the scene of the accident, but it soon returns by itself to follow Jon around, and murder those who anger him! Hee hee)
Jaws 4
Acting is a job like any other so you have to make the most it even if the films turn out to be a bit rubbish or the actor is rubbish in the films. It's better to be getting regular acting work than being unemployed, right? Helps pay the mortgage.
