Worst Actor

Orlando Bloom was the straight man to Johnny Depp in the POTC films.Depp was the draw and Orlando more than held his own against the veteran actor. In LOTR, Orlando had very little dialogue but he made the most of his scenes and the character. In Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven Orlando was just superb but I wish the director's cut had been released in the cinema as the film really deserved to be seen by a bigger audience.

As someone who saw Orlando perform on stage in the West End I can tell you that he can definitely act.He had a difficult, emotional role and he was tremendous :) .He was also very generous with his time and signed hundreRAB of autographs every day during the run of his play.Fans came from all over the world to see him perform and I hope he does more stage work in the future.

My vote would have to go to Hugh Grant.Same face-pulling, same acting in every bloody film

I think Sean Bean is a pretty good actor.

He brought elements to the character Boromir that I hadn't picked up in the LOTR books.

On TV hiss potrayal of Sharpe is deliberately clumsy as he is a character 'raised from the ranks' who finRAB it difficult to fit in to the officer class whilst dealing with the types he was brought up with.

You might not like him but you cant really say he is a bad actor, he has done a decent job in most of his roles. DepenRAB on the meaning of the thread i guess, I thought it was more who ia actually a crap actor rather who you like least

He has to be up there (or down there) with the worst. His performance in 'Awake' was atrocious. Jessica Alba almost looked like a capable actress, in comparison, that's how bad he was.

'Film fans' wouldn't name such a silly example for WORST film actor ever.

Just look in this topic. One already mentioned who is worse than Bloom, Keanu Reeves.

I know this is my opinion and nothing more, but at least Keanu was good in The Matrix. Fair enough he was just playing himself: wooden, moody, vacant. But he did it consistently throughout all the films.

I'm seriously yet to see Orlando Bloom act well in anything. And I mean anything. All imo of course :o

All his "face-acting" and line reading in LoTR made me cringe, he was so shite next to Bana and Pitt in Troy, and Pirates has quite clearly shown he can't do comedy. Although! He was funny in his part on Extras :D

Good:

Costner. Really great in Thirteen Days, as is the underused Bruce Greenwood.

Adam Sandler. Often unwatchable, but strangely brilliant in the..er..strangely brilliant Punch Drunk Love.

Bad:

Hugh Grant: ...erm,erm, gosh! fluster! erm...(continue until cheque clears)

Oh, and apart from Trainspotting, plus his hilarious turn in the Star Wars prequels, what has Ewan Mcgregor ever done of note?

I sorta agree about Keanu Reeves. I have seen him about 4 movies and just find him dull and wonder how he got a career with a long string of movies under his belt

Ricky gervais is turning all actor on us and he is awful as being a comedian and a writer anyway so no suprise

I cringed major bad when i saw Russell Brand in Sarah Marshell. He was awful and it was an utter joke.

 I COMPLETELY AGREE!
both Gervais and Brand are terrible!
their comedy is average, but not exactly "my sides are hurting" humour.
but don't get me started on their acting!
Brand made me cringe in Sarah Marshall!
and Gervais just seems to play himself all the time?
step outside the box a bit!

Agreed.

Completely bemused at the hype around LeBeouf, all I see is an annoying little runt of an actor with no charisma. And the rumours had it that this actor might continue the Indy 'franchise' when Ford retired?....

I was coming on to add my vote for Keanu. I haven't liked him in anything - even where the films were quite good (the Gift, The Matrix, Speed) and Hayden Christiansen is the poor man's Keanu imo as wooden as the oak tree in my garden but with less life.
Having seen Shia LeBEouf mentioned, I have to agree with him too. Terrible.
I can't bear Nicolas Cage though a few of his films have been bearable. I find it difficult to watch them though as his voice goes through me like nails on a blackboard. How do these people get paid for being in films?
